Epoxy Color Fill The Easy Way On Your Laser Engraving

Want to try a simple laser project this week? Just grab some off the shelf wooden light switches and I will walk you through the rest. This requires very little prep work.
In this video I will take show you a simple way to add color to your engraving using a small amount of epoxy. You can do little weekend project by just filling your engraving or you can do a little extra by creating a beachy scene like I did here. You will gain confidence by doing this easy epoxy projects. People love these too!

I have an Epilog Mini 50 Watt laser. I used the following settings to get a 1/16" to 1/8" engraved depth: DPI= 600, Power = 100, Speed = 40 in 2 passes.
Create your own design, use a stencil or buy a SVG instant digital download from places like Etsy.

    You can custom mix colors using acrylic paint and use it as a colorant for your epoxy. And I've used glow in the dark paints in it with great success.

    Great tip. Just be careful with the paint. Epoxy and water do not mix so as long as you use the paint sparingly it works fine. I usually use a glow in the dark pigment powder.
