Your example is so COOL!! Iove this, as one who has a heavier bust, I would love to wear a bralett, since I do not enjoy wearing a traditional bra. I want to try and customize for me. THANK YOU!!

Such a cute bralette ! If you don't have one, I'd like to see a video on how you measure the fabric used. I know how to measure for the proper fit - i just don't know what size to cut all the pieces at. TYSM for sharing this with us. Love your channel !!! 😻❣️😍👍

So cute! I love the versatility of this. I wear bralettes pretty much exclusively. I like mine to be lightly padded and most of them are racerback with lace details. Thanks for the great tutorial! I learned something about sewing with stretchy knit fabric - tear away stabilizer! I can't believe I didn't know this was a thing, but I am totally getting some to try out.

The fabric is so cute😊 I love bralettes but I wear a 36 ddd to a 38 dd depends where it comes from but most don’t have enough support .

Yeah. You could always add a bit more structure or use a double wide & double thick lace elastic under-band. Check out my stories for pics of large busts in the bralettes! :) we made them today & the worked great!

This is a great video! I have an older machine (my nana got it for me when I was younger) so how would a backstitch work if your machine doesn’t do it automatically as yours seems to? Thanks in advance!

Tip to everyone: Use a ball point needle. You won't get any tangles or skipped stitches. It makes all the difference.

Did you know in Couture fashion back-stitching is a major no-no! I know cray-cray right?! 🤪🤔

We’ll good thing these are not couture! Lol 😂 yeah I wouldn’t want to see back stitches on my 20k or more dress either. Fun fact. Thank you for sharing.

This is a great pattern and your video is so helpful! Where do you suggest to purchase the stretch material, stretch lace, and other accessories?

Great question. Etsy & eBay have tons of it. You can try sew sassy or M&J trims as well. Also Joann fabrics or any local sewing craft store should have the elastics. I think the hardest thing to find locally might be bra straps but you can totally get them online. You could also try a thrift store for bra straps by taking them off another bra. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching.

@@SewAnastasia Thanks! This definitely helps. I like the thrift store idea as that is new to me! Elastics are a little easier to find locally; it's the other items that tend to be a little more difficult.

i'm busty, they tends to go under bralettes, does your pattern provide a bit of support ?

  • @SewAnastasia

Yeah. You just need to make sure your under bust elastic is tight enough. You can always double it too. Also use a sturdy knit. Happy sewing & thank you for watching .

I’m trying to teach my nine-year-old to sew and the machine eats the fabric almost EVERY TIME he sews. What is he doing? How can I help him?

Make sure you have a fresh needle on for the correct fabric & start with the fabric further back.

I actually wear these all the time. I hate regular bras, so uncomfortable. I've been buying the really cool but cheap ones from Walmart that have several crisscrossing straps, which I love. I absolutely hate when women wear their clothes with their regular bra back showing and cannot believe that Carrie on Sex in the City would do that quite often on purpose. I would scream at the TV! How can a fashion freak who loves couture clothing so much she'd rather buy high fashion clothes than eat do that?!! Can you tell I'm a fashion freak?! I do love fashion I just don't have the money to buy the good stuff so I make it wherever I can. I crochet a lot. I revamp clothes and embroider them. I take regular jeans and make bell bottoms. That kind of thing. Anyways, I'd love to see you make a strappy bralette as Walmart has stopped selling my favorite. As usual. Have you ever noticed they discontinue the best stuff? It's called fair trade. If something is outselling everything else it gets taken off the shelves to be fair to others. That's why the awesome stuff becomes more expensive even if the quality isn't there. Personally I think all this needs to change. The fashion industry is the worst culprit of all for fabric ending up in the landfills. A lot of Couture designers are now recycling this fabric and making a lot of amazing stuff out of it which is awesome! That's my little story for 6:30am Sunday. Thanks again! Thanks again! Thank you!
