Baking soda is crazy expensive here in Africa. We can't get it in boxes, just little plastic tubs with a few tablespoons in. I feel like crying when I see Melissa pour it all over her sink.

It's mostly like that here in Ecuador. However, I've found it in a chemical shop (a shop that sells chemicals?) and can buy it in bulk. The main reason here is that they don't sell it pure (they add cornstarch always) because they don't want it used for drugs? That's what I've heard anyways..

I usually give it a little scrub with my dish sponge once the dishes are done and give it a wipe. I scrub with bar keepers friend maybe once a month or so

This is the easiest method to keep it clean. When you do it every time you clean the dishes, it barely requires any effort. Just a quick wipe.

I dry my sink EVERY SINGLE time it gets wet. As water marks the sink this way it still keeps shiny.

black sinks are a pain to clean and mantaine.

Any suggestions for plastic/fiberglass sinks? I scrub it with a cleaning brush and dish soap, but are there other options?

I used to use Soft Scrub with Bleach when I had a fiberglass bathtub. I would pour the soft scrub with bleach in the tub, spread it around with a wet sponge, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, and then use a sponge to scrub it clean.

I have done the baking soda and now my sink is full of scratches 😠😠😠

I have a porcelain sink...do I clean it the same way...I use Ajax and dish soap but am open to other ideas.

Barkeepers friend is the best for removing stains and a deeper clean. I do this once a month. But the easiest method for maintaining a clean porcelain sink is to do this after every time you finish washing the dishes: Give it a quick wipe with the sponge/rag and then rinse. I only wash the parts of the sink that touched dirty dishes or pots. This way the sink never gets gross.
