I bought a pretty cheap crimper from Bedhead and use that! I love this tutorial very detailed.

This is a game-changer! You are demonstrating the absolute opposite of almost every other video from other people on this (and the opposite of the advice my stylists have shown me over the years): 1. You DON'T hold the flatiron at a funky angle. 2. You DON'T hold the flatiron upside-down. 3. And MOST important--the real revelation!--you DON'T drag the iron all the way down the section after the ballerina twirl. I backed the video up several times to make sure I was seeing that right! You do the curl and then release from the top (or seem to). No one has ever shown me to do that. You should highlight that as the game-changing technique of this video. I've just tried this out on my hair (fresh cut yesterday, but my stylist left it straighter than I like) and almost cried with relief. Thank you!

Thanks for the tutorial! You asked for recommendations for a 1" curling iron. I think the Orynne 1" Ceramic Curling Iron with Long Barrel is absolutely the best. I got mine on Amazon.

Had to leave to take care of something. I found that pulling iron from a Dominique Sachsa video it is round it’s just like her yarn but she said that you could also use it as a flat iron I’ve never use it as a flat iron but it does have the cooling air blowing through it but I just absolutely love it it’s the best one I’ve had. I’m a brand new Saint make up artist just started a couple of weeks ago

I use the Bio Ionic 1” long barrel which is what my stylist uses

Thank you for simplifying curls with a flat iron. My only critique is not to throw down your brush so much as it comes through so loud it's almost deafening.

Thank you so much! I love using Glaze Hair Lotion, Sorbet and Salt and Sea Spray. I will also use Star Dust Dry shampoo at the root. L'ange has a great hair quiz on their site where you can enter in your hair type and hair goals and they can suggest products for you based on that XO!

I received my L'ange flat iron for Christmas last year but never even tried it out. I am ready now, plan to cut my hair (probably to same length as yours) and learn how to style my hair. I am having a rough time with the back and the left side does not seem to curl at all. Probably just a practice thing but can I damage my hair with this learning process??? It is color treated. Thanks for the informative video!

Well I sure am glad you are getting around to using this tool and trying something new for your hair. You are right...it will take some practicing to get it for sure! You will want to use a heat protectant as well as start on a lower temp. Mess around with the heat setting on the tool. Start low, then increase if you feel like you are not getting the style you want.

I would love to receive your newsletter. Also what flatiron are you using? I had super short hair and am growing it out. I haven't had to curl anything for 20 plus years and am sooo bad at it. I literally do it and it comes out flat---nothing. My technique is bad!

Ok. This is my issue. I'm right handed so on my right side I have to hold the iron pointer up. On my left I have to hold it pointed down ugh. Any advise? Also can you share where you got your top?!

The flat iron is a standard flat iron. The Le Duo has a slight curve to it and a cooling fan to help hold a curl.

Hey Love, with it being this short there’s not much I can do other than use a light scrunchie and put it up. The rest depends on how I sleep and I just touch it up in the morning if needed. ❤️

Every head of hair is different and it all depends on that and what kind of curl you want. Start on a lower setting and increase if you needed.
