CLINTON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ADVISES THAT A 9 1 1 OUTAGE
IS OCCURRING THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY FOR LANDLINE CUSTOMERS. THOSE
NEEDING EMERGENCY 9 1 1 SERVICES SHOULD UTILIZE THEIR CELL PHONE.

i mean, it was relayed by the NWS, but i don't think that has anything to do with it

@@Depressed_Cuboid Yeah, it doesn't really matter who relayed it. The only thing that changes in a relay is the station ID. The originator does not change.

It’s often relayed by both the civil authorities and the National Weather Service to maximize reach. That way people with NOAA weather radios receive the alert along with tv and radio stations. This decoder that receives the message in the video happened to be monitoring the national weather service and picked up their transmission of the alert.

Oh thank you for that! Yeah it copied it from the message that National Weather Service sent so I don’t know if auto correct did it or what.

Well I’m glad they have cell phones nowadays so if there was to be a 911 telephone outage we wouldn’t have to struggle calling 911 with a landline
