Another super video! Forewarned is forearmed!!

Thanks Kevin - another great video! BTW - as you know the pair of small "bearing blocks" at the bottom outer edge of each major ram take a tremendous amount of weight, and it is amazing that they can hold up for many years. But as you saw here, and as I experienced on my 2005 Winnnebago Adventurerer 37b they do eventually give it up - and start breaking apart. Which I noticed last summer when I found pieces of them on the ground. But luckily I had new parts from the HWH bearing block kit. But to replace them they did not design in any way to correctly do that, short of pulling out the entire ram assy. But I did come up with a way to quickly & easily replace them by cutting through the nubs on the top blocking plate so I could remove it. Once removed one can then raise up the entire extended ram to provide enough clearance to remove & replace the lower weight bearing nylon blocks. Setting it back down I then re-installed new upper "plates" after drilling and tapping into the upper outer nub to allow a large, very short sheet metal screw to be threaded into it from above, holding it in place. Works great!

Richard - I have a similar issue with my 2006 Winn Adventurer 33V. I'm not sure if I follow your description for removing and replacing the upper bearing blocks. Do you have any photos to share?

Thanks Kevin, I’m getting ready to make adjustments on all three of my HWH slides on my 39K, they each seems to need adjustments to align the seals. I will be referring to your videos for help. Thanks again

This is my next project to do. I have the 38J chassis as well. My two adjustment bolts on the kitchen slide support bar are starting to bend. I want to replace them before I even try to do an adjustment. Do I need to support the slide in order to get those bolts out?

Kevin - Thanks again for your Winnebago and Workhorse videos. You've taught me a lot. My paint lines are off, similar to the one in this video. Also, my nylon blocks are cracked and worn (both wedge blocks and flat bottom bearing blocks). When my LR slide out goes in or out, it sounds like a banshee screaming. I've used the dry silicone spray lube and this help quiet it down, but only for a few cycles. I believe my slide out has a lot of friction on the sliding surfaces and rubs off the dry lube. I asked Richard (below) if he has any photos of his repair for the bottom flat bearing nylon blocks. However, do you have any experience replacing these bottom blocks?
