At Dynamax in 2005, factory visit from Pa for warrenty stop to fix leaking '05 slide hose. So guess what they did, they added a new hose but due to the difficulty re strapping the mess of hydro lines they instead left the bad line in the Dynaquest. Well, 10 years later, that bad line came loose and wrapped around the prop shaft and destroyed wiring harness for hwh wiring as well all dc voltage to left side of 264 model Dynaquest. Thanks, Dynamax, for being so stupid and lazy to remove the leaking line. Dynamax service tech even told Pa repair shop, oh we left that bad line in the rv. It cost me $1k for then Mellot Brothers rv shop to rewire everything and were honest with me about why Dynamax left a bad line in rv. Dynamax didn't want to be bothered with taking the time to remove the bad line.

There should be a depressurization "switch" at the valve - it's either a lever or a screw... Be EXTREMELY careful with pressurized hydraulics as hydraulic injection into your body is as bad as gangrene....

Kevin, as always, good information to have. I am starting to see the same oily residue on the line that pushes fluid into the Sync Cylinder to retract the main slide on my 2007 Journey. I clean everything off with brake cleaner and I see no drips or puddles under the RV, but the residue remains so something is leaking. My question is just how flexible are these lines supposed to be? Mine seems to me to be very rigid, as in almost a hard line, as in it may break if I tried to bend it.

Yes it is a hard plastic line inside if I remember correctly, if its leaking at the fitting maybe A local hydraulic shop can cut and re crimp a new fitting on that end. Let me know the fix you use.

@@ktoutdoor I spoke with .Mr Stuart today. He offered that due to the minor nature of my leak/seep, I should head on down to FL as planned next week. When I get back he can look at it in his shop and replace any bad lines for me. Double knee replacement 2 years ago has curtailed me crawling around on concrete floors these days.

2004 W Adventurer 33V Hi Kevin, Have you ever replaced the high pressure hose on a HWH hydraulic cylinder for a room slide out? It’s the little hose (some have steel tubes) on the far end of the cylinder. Part number AP24631. I’m wondering how to change the blown hose. Yes, some are 1/8 inch hose and some are steel tubes. Mine are hose. It is the short high pressure hose that connects - via a 90 degree hydraulic fitting - to a 172” 1/8 hose. Mine blew and I don’t know how to reach the fitting to change. It’s way in there. Any initial thoughts? Thanks!
