The first thing I noticed is that he answers questions and is direct, unlike our British politicians who evade anything remotely controversial. He also speaks well, authoritatively, has a fair and totally relatable foreign policy. Britain has a lot to learn from India I think.

He's full of sh.t actually, indian economy is ranked same as, for example, France or UK, but both countries has population under 70 million (20X less), means India doesnt produce nothing per person. He is the pride of freedom-loving humanity. In the age of Western hegemony we have forgotten what it means to be an independent, sovereign and honest politician who truly wishes well to his country and his people. Deep respect ✊

Very valid observation. I wondered whether she is interviewing him or interrogating him! She was passing sweeping statements and persisting with her stand on getting an answer on India taking sides. There is no tinge of courtesy in her tone while asking questions. Disgusting personality. Trying to act like a butcher, ready to annihilate the victim. She should be taken off from the Bench. She said 'so do you mean to say that Washington Post was lying? He gracefully replied 'politely yes' though he had the option to say 'it is for you to decide whether WP is lying or not.. but this is my stand on this observation '

As a European i don't entirely understand why he calls out Europe here, my general impression is that this is much more the attitude of the US, and Europe usually follows, although partly hesitantly. But that impression might be biased, do Indians view that differently?

Biofuel might not be an efficient and sustainable energy souce but it is one of the transitionary energy sources and We require this to meet some of our energy needs. As our economy grows at a 8-9% moving forward, We will become second largest energy consumer in the world. Purchasing 85% of crude 50% of LNG and 15% of coal from abroad will certainly off balance fiscal situation. That's why We need renewable alternative energy sources ASAP.

I don't want the interview to be ended because I love the answers from the our minister.

I like the his talk very much. This Minister has a cool attitude to confront the US and the European powers with a good argument, without backing down at all. If my country, Japan had a Foreign Minister like him, I think my country would be better off. I did a little research on him on Wikipedia. Found, late 90’s, he was posted to the Indian Embassy in Japan. And the minister's wife's name is the same as mine. I am very happy😊

Kudos to this Man perfect answers and a man where the country can be proud of him. Big respect from me and I am European.

My favourite line is at 10:05 mark of the interview "People need to understand that if you can be considerate of yourself, surely you can be considerate of other people as well.", "...that freedom of choice should exist for other countries as well" Many lines throughout the interview for us to use, to think upon. "....Let's be a little even handed"

What a brilliant person Dr.Jaishankar is . He has soo clear thoughts about our interest n very determined when speaking it . He slammed west harder this time then ever before . 😀👏

We don't have only dr s. Jayshankar of such intellectual quality. Our electronics and communication minister ashvni waishnaw, commerce minister Piyush Goyal have great intellectual quality

Mr. Jaishankar has concluded the discussions with a point that is spot-on. Europe needs to come out of the Eurocentric axis and engage with the world on the same yardstick they use. I am quite happy and proud to have him as our Minister for External Affairs.

So grateful to India’s Minister for calling out this narrative and construct that the West keeps trying to impose on others. No double-speak, no hitting below the belt, just speaking with honesty about this geopolitical game that the western governments and their media is playing. Great respect for your intelligent, clear-thinking and grounded Minister. 🙏

Dr. S. Jaishankar speaks from a highly evolved state of mind. Great to see India put forth a man of such stature. Now more than ever!

I have a lot of respect for Mr. Jaishankar's ability to respond clearly, respectfully, and consistently to geopolitical issues raised.

The best EAM India has ever had… may be the world has ever had. So proud of him. Tough interviewer (even biased maybe), handled with amazing clarity and response.

These kind of Interviews usually are adressed at Lavrov and Putin. A bunch of loaded questions, and mostly mistaking Politics for economics.

I'm never tired of listening to Dr.J Shankar.

"The world cannot be euro-centric as it used to be in the past" wow👏👏👏

"Do not use a carricature version of one situation as an yardstick to pass a sweeping judgement" Honourable Minister Jaishankar 's phrase towards the end , applies to many judgements being passed in media today. Salute the Minister for being candid and sharp throughout the Interview! Bravo!

The best External affairs minister India had in the recent past. Following his speeches for sometime can say he has the skill of IFS officer & power of minister. Kudos to you Sir. Jai Hind

Love this man. Straightforward, pragmatic, honest and intelligent. And know how to interpret his leader's vision. He is more than a politician. Hope he becomes the leader one day.

He's the smartest external affair minister we ever had....His experience as a diplomat is the basis of his confidence and truth is always present .... As a human being, I am proud to see such a leaders with vision and clarity will guide the generation. The guest was rude and blunt as a typical British bullshit but he had seen a lot of this kind in his experience....Bravo Sir.

This gentleman and Sergei Lavrov are two of the finest Foreign Affairs ministers I have ever come across. Very succinct, well spoken, clear, direct and concise with their speech and with a great grasp of world and its changes and how it will affect its countries and their partners interests. True masters of the art of diplomacy.

As a Sri Lankan I really admire diplomats like Dr Jaishankar. The way he carries himself and analyses the questions are very subtle but with a pinpoint accuracy. Almost as if he is on the other end of the spectrum to how Dr Tharoor does it.A great statesman.Reminds me of late Luxman Kadirgamar of Sri Lanka.

We all share the same gene pool, culture, religions, food etc. This man and people like Rahul Dravid are very much respected in the whole region for their calibre. As a region we have a long way to go but seeing such statesmen in the region is promising.

I think it is one of the best interviews i have seen by any foreign minister in a very long time. He not only stated and defended Indian position but also criticized the host's blindness and arrogance for looking at the world problems with the euro / American lens. I mean by saying that we will act on the virtue of values. Dr. S. Jaishankar Sir in saying "Europe's problems are the world's problem, but World's problems are not Europe's problem." Very well said .... Best line I have ever heard on an Open Forum ,. " Don't use necessarily a Caricature version of one Situation as a Yardstick to pass a Sweeping Judgement "🙏🙏 Dr. S.
