Yes they do for sure! One of my nephew who is ~ 15 years now want to marry Jai Shankar. And few of my cousin's sons have made a choice to study for UPSC and join foreign office. He has inspired lot of young people to public service, not just International relations. He has made people aware what it means to hold a public office and serve people's interests.

This is where the diplomat in Dr SJS shines - Anybody else would be tempted to blurt out in ire "Perhaps" "May be" or even "It's their problem". He smartly soft landed that question without antagonizing anyone - A trait of a seasoned diplomat. And of course, you could see how laser focused he was on the lady, when the question was thrown at him -You could literally see his respiratory rate was up and he was breathing fast and heavy.But, he had the skills to buy time and think clearly and calmly to come up with a stellar response. Brilliant!

"I dont have any advice for them but.......(then he goes into saying it).........." HAHA, I loved the way it was framed by our EAM, Jaishankar sir. He is a role model to me and someday I too want to set on a similar path to serve my soil, India.

This was a masterclass in learning so many skills. All three are excellent diplomats. Passionate, yet cold and calculated, co-axial yet assertive, direct yet subtle, and all of them are so precise and articulate in expressing their points across. But yeah, if there was an extra point of being just Savage, our beloved EAM earns it as always.
