Appears from your comments that you already know that you will find no overstatements or exaggerations among all the positive comments you find from the Angels here. Angelina is the real deal. Because she is both the musician and the instrument, I have come to describe her as Mozart and Monet building a Stradivarius.

Then, to put the cherry on top, they gave her their copyright permission for this version! Insanely impressive! AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. Rob has been working with AJ from the very 1st day Republic signed her at age 14. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.

Hi Scott. I think many of us really take notice when one as gifted as you is able to understand the subtleties of Angelina's performances. One would certainly make the assumption that she put in a lot of prep time, and I'm sure she did for this performance. However, there are more than 100 cover songs that she, more or less, sang on the fly. Here's my point: Angelina truly is different. She is no less a prodigy than anyone alive today and I would venture to say that, along with Angelina's comments on the matter, it verges on the spiritual.

That ooooohoooohooh after mama. I think that's what sent me on a year plus long Angelina spree. Something about it was so on point, likely the most hypnotic part of it. After giving us a whole grid of things she can do with artistic beauty it was like she went back to the hypnotic, haunting thing the beginning had, just as I nearly forgot about it. Then followed it up with her belt soon after. Just tossed us around like a sack of potatoes man. I like plenty others of hers more I think, at least a dozen, but I saw this one first, she holds it in high esteem, and it is I don't know, clever and interesting? It takes a shockingly low amount of time to forget you were thinking of queen and seeing if she was worthy. Then why watch music like that at all in the first place, and why would that matter? Look at the kid whipping us into shape. It happens when you're watching a 13 year old girl and suddenly you have to re think humans and vocals. We're lucky when someone gets through our thick skulls in ways we were closed off. Great reaction, pick any and many.

Not only did Angelina get the golden buzzer from judge Heidi Klum, but she also received huge praise from the remaining members of the legendary Queen. Queen were delighted with Angelina's arrangement and shared it on Twitter with the words "WOW, what a rendition". What was unfortunately not to be seen here, all four judges came on stage to congratulate Angelina (very rarely). Simon said to Angelina "I'm not sure if you know how good you are, seriously" 👣 💯 *AJ* 💯 👣 BTW, Angelina released her version of Bohemian Rhapsody on January 24th, 2020 under her own label ANGELINA JORDAN INC. shortly after Angelina celebrated her 14th birthday. 🤗🤗

Scott, that was one of the best analysis of Angie on this song. (The nerdier the better) I give new Angie reactors a welcome pack, please read. She chooses all her own songs & does all her own arrangements ever since she was very young, even when she did Screaming Jay Hawkins “I put a spell on you” the B&W version, kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKt6ztF8gLvgc9Y.html at barely 9, even at 7 & 8 on NGT (Norway’s Got Talent). On AGT-C season 2 Angie & her grandma Mery made her outfit from silkscreen patterns of her grandma's art work when she was 13 back in Norway. They makes several of her other outfits for shows & concerts too. She also paints great, plays 5 instruments & speaks & sings 4+ languages, English being her 3rd. Angie turned 16 on 1-10-22. Angie is a very kind, giving, loving, respectful, humble & a big hearted Christian girl. She always sings barefoot when performing & she wrote a book about it at 9 called “Between Two Hearts” & she was/is the youngest to be published in Norway. (The performance was so astounding that Queen themselves posted a video of the teen singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' on their twitter page with the caption: ”Wow!!! What a rendition @angelinajordanA” And in an even more extraordinary turn of events, Queen then reportedly gave Angelina her blessing to record and release her own version of the song by giving her the copyright to do so.) (Why does Angie performs barefoot. Angelina gives a short little interview explaining why she performs barefoot. kzread.info/dash/bejne/X5d3rqaSYKa5ips.html) Angie has arranged over 160 covers & written 5 songs & has had 2 written for her also so far, & she’s mastered over 10 genre’s already at 13. One of her nicknames is “The barefoot Angel/Princess with a 1000 voices & a Mona Lisa smile” & the “Queen of jazz”. Angie never sings a song the same way twice, so you could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions. Angie sings like an instrumentalist, combined with narrative music. Another reason she’s so especially rare & great. Angie is like a 2006 Bordeux in the Meroc but we’ll say Norway =) Her voice still wont fully mature for another 10-15 years. Then it can be opened. WOW , the aroma, color, texture & than we get to taste/hear it =)

Nice reaction to a musical tour-de-force! You could spend many hours cataloging all the different things Angelina does vocally and artistically (and you probably should). You are at the very beginning and I hope you continue on your journey because there is a lot to discover, she is the best singer in the world (my opinion) but you will find out for yourself and believe me you become just as addicted to her voice as all other fans (angels), she is also called the barefoot angel with 1000 voices, why she always performs barefoot is another story, she can adapt and improve her voice to every song and also transport many emotions and it not only has around 160 covers but also 5 originals which are all amazing and legendary even now and there is a lot to tell, i look forward to more reactions and have

This is top ten chart worthy, but was debuted on Norway TV and not through a record label. 2: "7th Heaven". I'm not sure when she wrote this. I believe it was released before she signed with Republic Records at age 14. "Million Miles" was her 1st Republic Records Release. I like the Music video and the live concert versions of the song best. If you compare them together, you can see any post-production 'adds' the studio put on her voice. I didn't hear any, but your ear might be better than mine.

Congratulations! You just discovered the best Vocal Artist on the Planet! IMO This opinion is quickly being reinforced as her career is finally starting to I believe explode. I'm surprised there are still many who know nothing about her but again I think that is going to change. If you want to hear music listen to anyone. If you want to feel it listen to Angelina. You have a lot of catching up to do if you decide to follow this girl and it would be a mistake in my opinion not to. Not just a great artist but an even greater Human Being! Hang on. Her angels will soon fill you in on her incredible journey & accomplishments When you react to Bohemian Rhapsody take notice during her performance they highlight audience members in the front row. That is Angelina's Family. From left to right Her uncle and manager Michael Astar, her little sister Juliette, her mother Sarah Astar and her grandmother Mery Zamani. Notice her little sister crossing her fingers as the performance starts and later her mother wipe tears from her eyes. Also remember she said she had waited 10 years to sing for Simon. When she was 3 years old she was begging her mother to go on 'that Simon show'. A child prodigy who started singing Whitney Houston at 1 & 1/2, Won Norways Got Talent at 8 yrs old singing Billy Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday', 'I'm a Fool to Want You' a cappella, 'Bang, Bang' by Nancy Sinatra and 'Summertime' by George Gershwin! She fulfilled one of her childhood wishes when she sang for the Nobel Peace Prize Concert at 8, her second wish that you soon watch was to sing for that 'Simon Show" that she expressed at 3 yrs old when she sang on America's Got Talent 'The Champions' at 13 yrs old singing the most beautiful rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody ever created! She has sung for Quincy Jones & Barak Obama among many others and raised millions for Children Charities and Climate Change! No theatrics here, simply the most soulful interpretation of a song and an ability to convey that emotion right down to your very soul! She has made many grown men cry! Buckle up, you're going to need it! She is 16 as of Jan 10th this year and has just released her second original with Republic Records after being protected to allow her to grow up and when they got a deal that gave her 100 % control over her art. The true GOAT in my opinion! She was 9 when singing a song by Screamin Jay Hawkins on the candle from 1956. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKt6ztF8gLvgc9Y.html She started studying all the Greats of Jazz at 3yrs old on u-tube. Thank you for your enthusiastic reaction to Angelina. Your response was not surprising and your analysis was extremely informative. It's a gift to have a professional like yourself analyze Angelina's performances. For your next reaction, I will highly recommend going back in time to when Angelina was 9 and performing screaming Jay Hawkins I Put A Spell On You! This black and white video performance is considered by many to be the finest recording ever of a 9-year-old vocalist, and that's saying something! Norwegian born Angelina began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! She also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy. She is now 16, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records almost two years ago. She is not widely promoted yet, however, as her family has decided to wait until she graduates school, so she has a normal childhood. Here is a link from ages 6 to 16 of 106 chronological KZread performances with five originals. m.kzread.info/head/PL2v8kgVeo4EbYDVnRwObjETfWpXbzbgIO Here is a more comprehensive playlist of 180 videos with KZread, tiktok, Instagram. kzread.info/head/PL2v8kgVeo4EbQD6l_WAVjOfItquzW7oEc Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond. Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. I trust this will cause you to embrace her as millions of others have, and that you will continue down the rabbit hole from which you will not want to escape. Peace and love. kzread.info

As well as her brilliant version of Elvis’s “Suspicious Mind”. My personal favorite is her cover of Lana Del Rey's "Born To Die". Although “Mercy” is really growing on me.

@@dojoswitzer Autotune Angelina Jordan could never use autotune, it would kill the emotion. If autotune is used there’s a lack of emotion by nature, autotune flattens out the pitch and harshens the transitions between pitches. When singers opt for heavy autotune on their vocal track, it tends to kill a lot of the emotion that may have been prevalent in the performance. Conversely, when a singer’s voice is ripping with emotion, it’s a good indication that the track hasn’t been autotuned. Angelina Jordan evokes emotion like no other performer in my past, or possible in my future.

Scott, you have just critiqued a musical geniuses work. She was responsible for the arrangement of the song and performed this in front of an audience of millions around the world with a poise and confidence which was startling to everyone, particularly to people such as you involved in the musical industry in some capacity. This performance took place when she was 13 years old and she had already been rearranging classic songs since she was 9 years old. Since she was 9 she has worked closely with a band of accomplished musicians and they have affectionately called her, "The boss". They also have stated she was a pleasure to work with and she knew exactly what she was doing. Scott, I understand your forte is musical analysis but I do hope you look deeper into this artist's extraordinary background because there is a personal connection she makes with everyone who listens to her sing and she touches their hearts with her love. Your insightful reaction was very well done (and edited) but it became obvious you couldn't contain yourself and you were drawn into her world as she sang for you. That's what she does. Please join all of us around the world on her journey. It may seem like a magic carpet ride but it is very grounded and the feeling in your heart will never leave you. She is very special.

Angelina at age 13! Not only were the remaining members of Queen impressed, but they also allowed Angelina to copyright her version which is available on several music streaming services and earns royalties - Here is one her more recent live performances of this song at age 16: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hqWB09t6mZDIo8Y.html

Very nice comments--you definitely know your craft. Unfortunately the amplitude (loudness) of your comments was so much lower than the amplitude of the music that I was constantly turning the volume up and down to hear it. Invest in a an editor that permits you to equalize the sound.

There is video evidence of what Angelina sang at 1 1/2 years old - it is part of this news report (about a minute or so in - very brief) - the Song was Whitney Houston's version of I Will Always Love You: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z3WTsJOiYJPNdtY.html - Also, here is another news report with English Subtitles where she talks about the influence that Jazz has on her: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oKubyNWBYqreYco.html

Nice analysis, I'd Just recommend that you balance your voice better compared to the performance, as your volume was very low here. As for another performance, she had concerts this summer, where she showed some new stuff. I'd recommend 'Love on the Brain', which was not analysed by many before: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKSmldNpda7SZ6w.html

Scott, Great review...opposed another review I saw earlier today of two acholic vocal coaches, who didn't know shit). Basically the opposite of you. The saddest part is, they actually have 51,000 subscribers (if that's not a KZread statement). For some stupid reason you only have 3,300. Well the good news is, besides discovering one the brightest upcoming singers of today, you got her fan base, to come along for your ride. Guess what, we grow good reviewers like yourself, quickly! So strap in for the Angelina ride! BTW... Angelina's back story is part of what you have found ( nearly as cool as her voice). Read Andy Schnell's Angelina's condensed biography, I am sure he posted it or will.
