I've been dying trying to find a consumer friendly infotainment system to my liking for future car projects. I just now realize I am not gonna get what I want unless I make it myself like you. Time to learn hardware and software engineering!

Really interesting project. Maybe it can play SACD and DVD Audio 5.1 format on your build. Great job.

Just a thought about some Mercs with CD changers in the boot that have optical cables. Would connecting a DSP audio media convertor work or will it require some kind of voltage H/L level switching from the CD changer supply wires? With the obvious of what the DAC original head unit can sample. Keep up the good work in your development. No point getting into Pico-mini DSP's, Dirac SW, Signal Summing Modules, your are all over it! include SDR DAB+ in the Arduino.

You should try some 3300uF 25V Nichicon Audio Grade Capacitors for the power bus to the TDA chips. Will make a surprising difference in clarity under high volume and give improved Bass response. Ive used these on stock manufacturer headunits as replacements and they make an amazing difference.

Sure thing! The TDA chips want 2500uF caps, but I'll give 3300uF a go!

Use ryzen board if want make 3D interactive diagnostic 'n' configure car head unit with navi etc

On oem application for front center speaker it take + from front left and the - from front right

not necessarily. On the basic speaker setup, yes, center channel is combined from left and right. But on HK Logic setup (Which my E55 has), the center channel is driven directly from AGW

For what, why not use HU25 + Harman with 7logic

Very interested to see where you go with this, are you going to buy a USB GPS dongle and run an android virtual machine or are you going all out on building a custom interface?
