    Loving the series. Gives me a lot of inspiration for my own trip. Spent a year in Karratha in 2006 so got some fond memories there. Special request: Can Tiff not wear sunglasses in any more of your vids? Her eyes are absolutely stunning. :-)

    Another entertaining video albeit at Cam’s expense in more ways than one. An understanding and compassionate wife really helps. Years ago I bought a bum bag thinking it was $10.00 intending to keep bits and pieces in a LandCruiser centre console. After checking statements it was in fact $110.00.(😎R). Great photography and again we’re enjoying your journey. Safe travels.

    17:00 the author of Red Dog also wrote Captain Corelli's Mandolin - turned into a great Hollywood movie. Captain Corelli's Mandolin is a 2001 war film directed by John Madden. It is based on the 1994 novel Captain Corelli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernières, well, who also wrote Red Dog, but that's another story ...

    Is the duck on strike? I love that duck. Bring back the duck. How cool is this backyard we call Australia? When I was a young tacker I wondered what it would be like to be an ant on a moss covered rock I saw in a stream, just wandering around having a look. I reckon you guys know exactly what it would be like, just with beer, coffee and roast pork and veg too. Can’t believe you were allowed to test out the new tray on anything other than even more cupcakes, so much more efficient for producing said wonders.

    Hello to you guys, recent subscriber just watching your video's, all out of order too, noticed in Video 2 you were concerned about weight and managing where it was positioned. Have you found now after being on the road for a while there is much gear you packed that you dont need or have seldom used and would leave behind next time? we recently bought a new van, upon unpacking our old van before selling it, we just didnt realize how much "stuff" (crap) we had accumulated over the years, most of which we didnt use. Just wondering if you have found the same after a few months full time. Keep the Videos coming, very enjoyable. Thanks

  • @WildTouring

    @WildTouring

    Gday Chris, we've definitely shed a bit of weight since starting. A few things that didn't get used - beach chair/lounge, Chloes bike, Chloes plush couch, stable tables etc. We also got rid of one of the spare wheels for the van, the 80l water tank in the car after I cracked it, the washing machine after it broke a couple of times 😂 and some camp fire stuff (fire pit, chainsaw and axe as we're out of fire season now). When I'm home I'll redesign a new canopy build with a focus on shedding some more weight on the car.

    Quick one. I’ve noticed your Saftey chains are really long. The idea behind them being crossed is so if the hitch Eva comes off it doesn’t hit the ground. Have you dummy tested this?

    Book it in a couple of weeks in advance. During peak season these coastal towns can be overwhelmed with the number of tourists/travellers passing through.

    Aldi ones, they're an aluminum set with some sort of non stick coating and handle is detachable. I reckon it's a great set!

    Love the content on the channel mate, good to see a family with a young one travelling around WA. Why did you sell the 100 series and buy the dual cab? Reason i ask is because im looking at selling my gu and moving to a dual cab and need some ideas to justify it 😂

    It was originally a naturally aspirated diesel - 1hz. Painfully gutless, so I turboed it and ended up spending close to 12k on the motor in repairs/maintenance and performance bits over a couple of years. It was still pretty slow, unreliable, thirsty and uncomfortable. The dual cab is no where near as capable offroad, but my style of 4x4ing has changed and the reality is that a good touring rig will get me anywhere I want to go nowadays. Economy is great, it's reliable, comfortable and cheaper to maintain.

    Definitely. Have done a few cracking pulled porks in the TB. As COSICAN said, bang your trimmed roast in an oven bag with some liquid stock/bbq sauce/onions/seasoning and spices 👌

    So you are enjoying the light rain down here and not the flies up there. I would make a bolt for the border now. I can see in 11 days they will probably restrict movements again as they test those in quarantine and find there are cases getting through. Even 1 case in the open community will bring down the gate once again. Escape now while you have the opportunity 😄
