I dont know how i missed this video, this version (044) was my first rc in 1985. Back in those days ROAR had a Heavy Metal class where i raced mine against blackfoots, Big Bears and other trucks of the time. It eventually ended up with a 5th shock mod, hornet rear mount, lexan body, you-g fronts and a double a-arm front before i finally sold it and bought a buggy. I miss that little truck amd plan on buying the new version released this year.

I always wanted one of these when I was a kid. I put one together out of parts in the middle of the 90's and then sold it on ebay in 2000. Just never really got into it. I never really got into the wheely poppin , just the wild willy. The Wild Willy never saw much use either. It's still with me and new 2000 wild willy.

I absolutely love driving mine, even though you're right, they handle TERRIBLY.... But like the Hornet etc that's the 80s nostalgia beauty of them. In saying that I'm particular about where i drive mine, hard sand and smooth walks.... Always get people ask about it and tell me about their Tamiya RCs, so it's got some cool value in that aspect....

Well....... That Blackfoot INTERIOR sure got my attention!!! 😵😱 I have always loved this Pajero! WHY I didn't buy one back in the day, I'll never know. IF the time ever comes when I can buy RCs again, this one is DEFINITELY on my short list! It certainly has horrible handling. BUT, it appears (on video anyway), that with the different Servo position, it seems like the "Baby CW-01" has *FAR less* Toe change when landing jumps!!! 😵😵 SAME wild Camber Shift, but very little To movement. It appears like the Toe Rods ACTUALLY line up with the Control Arms. A *Tamiya FIRST!!!* 👍👍 I mentioned it before, what a gorgeous Paint Job!! 👏👏👏👏 I MAY try to build one of those.... Maybe out of the CW-01 that I've been piecing together for the past year. Take the whole lower Chassis off, move the front Arms up to the *original* mounts (HOPEFULLY WITH the AmPro Engineering Double Wishbone setup!). And reinstall my AmPro Modified Rear Gearbox up to the original mount points (Having the Wheelbase off by about 8-10mm, by using the Hornet Axle Stays (or original Lunchbox)..... And the Montero Wheelie Body - OR the new Pro-Line (forgot the name) short Wheelbase Suzuki Lexan Body with Brat Wheels/Tires. If nothing else, it WILL be a conversation starter!!! 😎 It's a plan anyway... Carmine 🚂

The "j" in pajero is not pronounced as an "h" . Pajero, not pahero. You are the first and only person I've ever heard someone pronounce pajero this way. I've even worked at a Mitsubishi dealership where we actually had engineers from Japan help train us on the Evo cars. Even they did not pronounce it pahero. We had Pajero 2 door and Montero 4 door models. The Pajero rights were sold to Suzuki and rebadged Samurai and 4door models rebedged Sidekick. Suzuki in the U.S. were like Saturn is to G.M. Nice, in-depth video. But I just thought I'd let you know about the name.

Yeah I have heard that many times. Pajero is also spanish for Bird and when used in that context, the J is pronounced as an H. I guess when immersed in Spanish culture like I am here, we immediately say the H version. I guess it is the same as a friend of mine named Jaime....
