Great video! Love the music. I remember having this truck and a monster beetle. I don't recall the wheels on this truck though. I must have switched them out for monster beetle ones.
Matteo another fantastic video! You've inspired me to build my brat from all of the parts I've collected. Two frog chassis and a heap of ebay parts....thank goodness for the re-re otherwise I'd still be looking for an affordable polystyrene shell. Keep up the great work, and keep posting these super quality videos.

Just beautiful Matteo. I'm thinking of getting this car. How's the ride of this car? Looks very bouncy. Did you cover the electronics before running it into the water? Either beautiful job and regardless, Im gonna purchase the car. Thank you for your hard work Matteo!

Thanks Christopher. Yes, the car is a bit bouncy, as many of the old vintage cars. Yes, I waterproofed the electronics. You can do this on two different ways: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fISp3JmGmNqwnNo.html Or a more simple way: kzread.info/dash/bejne/paaN2baPmrebfs4.html

I have an original Tamiya Subaru Brat that I purchased new in 1984. I am currently restoring the SUbaru but having a hard time finding a replacement battery for the motor. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a replacement battery that will fit? Originally it came with a Tamiya 7.2V 1200mAh battery about 4.5 inches long. I do remember upgrading it back then to a more powerful black motor that was much faster than stock. Thanks for any help -Glen
@Matteomeier

Hi Glen, I used some spacers on the plates on each side of the battery compartment, so a bit longer batteries such as lipos will fit: teamorion.com/en/batteries-en/lipo/hobby-stick/rocket-sport-4200-lipo-7-4v-tamiya-plug/

@Matteomeier
TheGreatMajima Super, wünsch dir viel Spass damit!

Hi Matteo, whats the differences between the brat and the landfreeder in terms of off road performance?
@Matteomeier

These two cars are much different. The Subaru Brat is a buggy and runs fast. The Landfreeder is a Cross Country vehicle, made for slower crawling and trailing.

I like how some versions literally say "4WD" in big letters on the body, but they shipped it with a 2wd chassis
@JoeRust78
It says "Subaru" on it too, but isn't made by Subaru. It's just for scale realism since real Brats were 4wd and the decals are done accurately in the same style as real Brats
