    thanks for posting the video - I had the E8 code and checked the motor - found one of the brushes was sticking and hence not making proper contact with the armature. cleaned it up and a little bit of WD40 and now everything working fine. my message is E8 code will be a motor problem but will not necessarily require a new motor (which cost c.£140)

    Many thanks for this suggestion. I also gave my motor a spray-up (with GT85) and got it working again.

    My one kept giving me E08 on the activeco 20 cycle yet it does a spin only with no issue
