Dying Out: The Last Of The Samaritan Tribe | Full Documentary | TRACKS

The Samaritans are one of the most ancient tribes in the world - they’ve been around for over 3,000 years. But the population is now fragile and the tribe at risk of finally dying out...
Their population consists of just four extended families, around only 800 people in total (in Roman times there used to be over a million). They have three men to every one woman. To keep the tribe going they’ve tried bringing in women from afar, including a number from the Ukraine. But is it too little, too late?

Indeed there is terrorist attack happen around the world made by IS and Taliban, but believe me, there are more peace-loving Muslim around the world. You just have to open your eyes and learn to explore other people's culture. Here in Malaysia, we live in peace, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu and Christian alike.

I'm. Catholic. My reading of the gospels tells me that Jesus knew the Samaritans for a long time. He knew and understood them but never condemned them. He used the parable of the Good Samaritan - Christendom will forever remember Samaritans in the figure of the Good Samaritan. Poignant is the story of the Samaritan woman at the well. She had a kind heart that longed for understanding and mercy. Did Jesus give these to her? He sure did. The Samarirans here in the video almost glow in their piety and deep spirituality. I respect you a lot. May OUR GOD - YOURS AND MINE - bless you all.

There's no bad Samaritan, only Jews like Micah wrote wrong about them since he himself was not accepted by his tribe because he made a heretic sect but he was not able to recruit Samaritans so he recruited some Jews instead. I don't even know why the Jews consider him as Prophet. The Jews know he had polytheistic idols while Muslim's Quran mentioned a Samaritan who made the calf. That was Micah but he isn't Samaritan in faith, only his tribe relatives became Samaritans upon division of Israelites into 2 groups, but he chose to stay with Jews because of the heretic sect he made. That's why Samaritans only believe Torah & Book of Joshua. Other books by the Jews are not recognized by the Samaritans.

A Jew is a derogatory name for a Yehudi, actually, and it is the English version. Yuda or Yehuda - the Iscariot, as known to Christians, betrayed his teacher. Traitors, or generally disliked people are called Jude in German, and Jews in English. The Yehudim are those belonging to the family of Yehuda son of Jacov the patriarch, which were the most numerous and the largest proportion of the population, in the old times as now. Samaritans are occasionally referred to as Yehudim. Samaria is managed by the Palestinian Authority and issues Palestinian passports to its residents.

Jews of those diasporas are on the same side of the "coin" mentioned by Ezra.

dcb4357 hiitsme yeah Nablus is most certainly a majority forced converted Samaritan, I think the 1 million population figure is how many there were in the 6th century, Islam came to the region in the 7th century and subsequently started force converting many, but I think most were “converted” during the ottoman era. Honestly they should DNA test people in Nablus and have them convert back to Samaritan and marry them.

@קומפרסור יהודים They never considered themselves like Judean because their ancestors were from the Kingdom of Israel, not from the Kingdom of Judea. That's why they are not JEWS, but they are FULL ISRAELITES. Many arab Muslims in Hebron have Samaritan ancesters, because in the past they have been forced to convert to Islam, just like the jews of the Arab world... However they don't consider themselves as Palestinians, they are SAMARITANS ISRAELITES. If you don't trust me, just ask them or make some research...
