Hoi Kim. Is it true that there are also two more ways to say totziens that are " tot snel" en "tot gauw" ? But the person which i heard this thing from says that these two expressions mean something more like "see you soon" or see you later. Let me know please

Goedemorgen! I’ve spent a while starting to learn lots of languages and see which one I’d like to learn. I’m already learning Chinese, so I think dutch is a bit of a change but since I first went to the Netherlands a couple years ago I’ve always wanted to live there. Dankjewel Kim, Tot Zeins!

I greeted someone from South Africa, in Dutch, ( because I didn't know to in Afrikaans) and she very beautifully replied "Aangenaam kennis!", which was immediately understandable. Afrikaans is a very beautiful language also.
Goedemiddag. I grew up hearing Dutch spoken by my grandparents, but no one ever taught me. My Opa will be 100 in Juli and I want to be able to have a basic conversation with him in his native language.
Goedenacht! I’d love to learn Dutch because my mother is Dutch but never taught me 😢 I’m in South Africa and grew up visiting my Ouma and Oupa in Holland every few years ❤️
I’m Australian, but my pop was Dutch. It’s such a shame because he never got around to teaching the family how to speak Dutch. He however did teach us the word Dag and every time we’d leave my grandparents house we’d always say that to him instead of saying goodbye. He sadly passed away 2 years ago, so Dag is a really special and meaningful world for my family now.

Dutchies to be - Learn Dutch with Kim Thank you so much! ♥️ Also yes, it use to be spelled Dijkstra but as soon as they came to Australia they changed the spelling. I really wish they didn’t though because for my whole life I’ve had to put up with people pronouncing it as Dick-stra, which is so embarrassing. 😂

I look forward to be learning dutch from you. I just lost my Oma this morning, and feel bad for never learning the language. My dad was born in Canada, and so was I, but both of his parents are from the Netherlands. My Oma was from Rotterdam, and my Opa was from Amsterdam. Anyways, I always wanted to learn the language. I know some words are hard though. My Oma showed me a plaque she had that said bird watching in Dutch. Your accent reminds me of her too, btw. I always found her accent the cutest thing.

It’s 10:40 PM in my timezone in America, i have made a Dutch friend 2 years ago and the language and countries of Belgium + Netherlands has always interested me, so I want the effort to try and talk to her in her native language! After watching this les 1, I noticed that you have introduced "Goeie-" for almost all greetings such as "Goeiedag, Goeiemorgen, Goeiemiddag, Goeienacht", but not for "-avond", so can we also say "Goeieavond"? Is it correct?
