I really appreciate that when you speak Dutch you say the words clearly. I have a very low level of Dutch but it's nice to practice picking out words and guessing the meaning and grammar structure just from listening.

This was VERY useful! Dank je wel. I am learning Dutch on Duolingo at the moment and I continually fail on putting DE or HET on the correct words. I will subscribe to this channel and use in addition as it explains a lot of the difficulties a lot better than Duolingo does. I also strongly agree with the comment below about you speaking the Dutch words very clearly; it really helps to pick the words out.

I'm also learning Dutch on Duo. Something helping me now is to learn singular nouns along with their article. It helped me a lot when learning German. Another thing is to choose a colour for the ’het' words and another for the 'de' ones.

I wish I could give more than one 'like'. So much work in this video and extremely helpful! I love that you speak in Dutch and I have the option to use the subtitles. It's more difficult for me because I just started learning Dutch a day ago but it's the way I enjoy learning a language. This general classification of het and de words and the exceptions are very useful to know, but to use correct forms fluently in a sentence as you speak is only possible with training yourself to recognize what sounds right and what doesn't, as you do it in your native language without thinking of rules. But thanks in any case for making this video. I studied Dutch living in the Netherlands in the early nineties and don't recall this topic being presented to us in such a categorized way in the language school I attended. But I also have to compliment that evening language school. More than 30 years have passed and I still completely understand all of your lessons where you speak only Dutch.

I have some ideas for the channel, if you don't mind hahaha Some ideas are 1)making vocabulary videos (for example, a lesson about animals and about animals common in Neederlands) 2) A vlog (this helps A LOT with our vocabulary, cuz is useful for our lives) 3) specific topics you enjoy speaking Dutch (makeup, books, etc) Well,just some ideas! Dutch Language Academy - Learn Dutch with Kim Oh... Ik ben niet gelukkig! :( Ik schaam voor me Kim! :( Ik vertelde diezelfde getrouwde vrouw die ik op de sportschool ken de vertaling van; “Ik ben verliefd op jou” en de rest of m’n zielige gevoelens in het Nederlands hoeveel ze kan jouw geboortetaal helemaal niet spreken of begrijpen. Nu kent haar de waarheid wel dat ik verliefd op haar wel ben! Toen gisteren kreeg ik een vriendelijk seintje van iemand dus daarom heb ik besloten mezelf te verbannen uit de sportschool van South Tyneside College tot na Kerstmis! :( Zullen ze hun “Wannabe Nederlandse jongen, die “mij” bedoelt? Nee! 😝😝😝 Ik twijfel er aan! Want zij zijn allemaal boos op mij! :( Ja hoor ik ben met dat helemaal eens dat het helemaal geen goed idee is om je gevoelens over iemand tegen te vertellen! Maar niet iedere vrouw is dezelfde je weet! ;) Jij werd geveild? Is dat hoe je “flatted” moet zeggen? Maar die Laura niet! :( Hmph! Ik wil een Nederlands meisje van een vriendin die een vrouwtje versie van mij is die zoveel andere jongens heel leuk vind want ik vind heel veel meisje leuk dus dat is eerlijk! ;) :) Ja hoor Kim!
