This is a beautiful song for Chani and Paul’s relationship. There’s a longing in it, and a tragedy. A love unable to be fulfilled in marriage, and forged in the brutality of the desert.

Yup. I found this song and movie to be sad/tragic in general. Paul fighting his destiny/serving the greater good vs what he really wanted. I felt he and Jessica truly died with the water of life and what came after was something...stranger.

When Chani walks away at the end of the film after the marriage proposal, and then the love theme plays again but there’s now a pain in it, It speaks of heartbreak in the most poetic of ways, emotionally It’s like a lover saying to their beloved that look what you’ve done to me, I’ll have to live with stones on my heart because you’ve done something so hurtful yet I can’t help but love you.

I can, March 28th, 1964.

I'am 21 yo and Dune part 2 was the best film i have ever seen in the cinema. Films were so good in 90 and 00, but in last years quality in my opinion degraded so much... and now we get this masterpiece.

I was born in the 1980s. Movies in 80s-90s were more campy because everyone thought that's what a good movie should be. Then came LotR, the Dark Knight, etc, and we realize movies have to be deep and beautiful to be good.

Im 38, shit 39.... I agree with you - lots of garbage recently - I think people got lazy recently and this type of movies reminds us of how good a great movie can be - when you have all the technology at your disposal but the plot, narrative and characters remain at the forefront.

Marvel has ruined cinema over the last decade, it is a breath of fresh air to have something different.

I love this poster, how it shows Chani with her Crysknife pointing backwards and down the dune symbolising her efforts to de-escalate the situation while Paul is all-in and about to crest the apex of the dune and into his destiny as Emperor.

Hans can make every love and drama story a sound miracle and it will be absolutely unique...

When I saw the movie and heard this song, I was just sitting there truly immersed and watched. Now I'm listening to this song here, and scenes from the movie are flashing in my head. Then I started to cry...........

This is magical and divine. I hope the movie gets a lot of oscars! Also the beautiful soundtrack by the amazing Hans Zimmer deserves an Oscars for astonishing performance.

It’s the main theme of the first film.

I would've stayed dead as paul, told my mom to do you I'm out. Take my woman and ride to the sun on a worm. All paul did was get himself blown up by stilgar and blinded, doomed to walk the desert alone. Spoiler alert.
