About Dune: Part Two:
The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.” “Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

There is so much pain in this melody. I can feel it express the tragedy of Paul's family; the family that was on Caladan, and the family that is to come on Arrakis. When Paul and Chani kiss, it is not just a crucial moment for this movie but for the entire Universe, for it seals their fates, their children's fate, Paul's mother's and sister's fate, and all those that inhabit the Empire. It is a stolen kiss in a private moment, yet it resonates across the Empire and affects every person in it.

Well, I am not sure if we get a Messiah adaptation by Villeneuve in which preborn twins are born and Chani dies tragically (still, I think, at the end of the movie, Paul will go to the desert as a blind and regretful man, a fallen monarch). Dune Part 2's ending has created two possible futures: 1) An ending close to Dune Messiah's ending if not the carbon copy. 2) A very different Dune. Like the adaptation of an alternative universe and another possible future (themes, main messages, tone, texture, atmosphere, some important and unique componants of that universe will be accurate to the book, though).

exactly what i thought
When I read that book in my teenagerhood, I felt and still carry love for deserts. I was mesmerised by the use of words coming from worlds like Arabic, Middle east and African hints which could be found in the maps of Dune, in the odour Frank Herbert described. And in the fights for freedom of the Free-men. Staggering to see this movie now, with audiences celebrating the spectacle and in real life mocking, or even fearing, the ones who live in those arid areas, who have their beliefs and religion and whom are called "terrorists" by many from that audience, that may be the other part of the metaphor of the fight for Arrakis. And in real life the Afghan zones controlled by the military troops from Countries, were each controlling a different ores, different minerals. And in real life the colonies walls from Israel on Palestine, control access to water. That book was epic and also a metaphor of the present, as I saw it years ago, while the wars in Iraq were happening. And if this message reach the Shihiaya I met a few years ago (I swear there's at least a human being called by this name), hope it ll draw an enlightening smile once more. That soundtrack was even for you, for you having beaten the chances of becoming grinded by world. That dance of yours live. Hope you're well, towards a greener Planet, like you dreamt, like you planned.

“There’s such longing” - Hans. He’s right, there is so much emotion and feeling it’s palpable, incredible
This is the most bitter-sweet music I've ever heard.
I love this track and feel like it encapsulates the journey of the entire film so breathlessly. Spoilers about how: Thunderous sounds at the beginning are the echoing nightmares of being one of few survivors of the raid on his house. Paul and his mom are striking out on their own with a single pipe representing him. With the low pipe tones they mournfully find some peace in and security with the Fremen in the aftermath of destruction. Yet they are isolated in the ever-present sand swirling around it all, guided by visions from the spice it contains. Then the strings come in as Chani takes him in, harmonizing with the pipe as he becomes more emboldened and empowered. Together Chani and Paul thread this needle of tentative love and become stronger together. The pipe is still mournfully searching and meandering in low tones, seeking a foothold and a way of redemption through the trauma. Some vocals kick in, indicating the faith of the Fremen in him is growing as he gains trust. They share their wisdom and hope together as he learns their ways. The strings, vocals, and pipe join together increasingly, coalescing around the pipe until many strings and voices surge together with the pipe’s rising intensity. His mom’s position as Reverend Mother and his growing influence among the Fremen synergize. At the end, their combined powers grow so mighty and concentrated around Paul that it becomes a blaring echoing horn reaching out into the galaxy. It turns into a synthesizer, forming the future to come from the earlier instruments. Individuality blurs into a fanatic movement with Paul an echoing pipe in the center. Meanwhile the strings of Chani tenuously ring out from an increasing distance, maintaining true to herself, wrapped up around Paul but disillusioned in the the turn of the movement. The sounds of the sands stretch onward.
This music shows to me that amidst a chaotic world, how much peace and tranquility there is in Hans Zimmer's mind. Respect

The scene where Paul manages his first sandworm ride, the crowd erupted in cheers and applauses in the theatre. Last time I saw this happen was back in 2012. Only very special movies can get the audience to feel so motivated and involved.

@@Adriana-eu6tyNope, Skyfall (James Bond séries), when Bond finds back his 1965 Austin Martin. Saw it twice in theatre, and both times, people began applauding as it happened.
This song reminds me of watching the sunrise in the Middle East after a long combat sortie. I feel sadness for the things we did to each other. I feel amazement at the beauty of sunrise in the desert. I feel a deep ache and longing to go home and be at peace.
I enjoyed the first film. The music was a bit too raw for my taste, but overall it enhanced the experience. Dune Part 2 was a completely different story. I was absolutely blown away by this movie and this time around I really felt Hans Zimmer's music. It not only made the atmosphere much fuller, but it straight up carried some of the best scenes. Everyone who worked on this film simply did an amazing job.
Hans Zimmer has done it once again! The soundtrack for the first Dune was unlike anything that I've ever heard in a movie, and the soundtrack for Part Two is just as phenomenal, if not better!!! I can't wait to hear this in the theater next week!!! "Long live the fighters!"
I'm going to travel 1.100KM to watch this in IMAX. And I can say upfront, it is going to be totally worth it!

Hans Zimmer... I will weep when you leave this realm.
Unfathomable beauty leaving bewildered tears on my face.
"know then that it is the year 10191, the known universe is ruled by the padishah emperor shaddam IV, my father..."
Waited years for this song. Zimmer is a true genius who knows how to touch the human soul through music.
This moves me. Like really moves me. I cry when I hear this.
Tragic, yet beautiful
After the end of this movie I sat silently in the theater through the entire credits. It chilled me even more than the ending of Oppenheimer.
A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct. This every sister of the Bene Gesserit knows. To begin your study of the life of Maud'Dib, then, take care that you first place him in his time: born in the 57th year of the Padishah Emperor, Shaddam IV. And take the most special care that you locate Maud'Dib in his place: the planet Arrakis. Do not be deceived by the fact that he was born on Caladan and lived his first fifteen years there. Arrakis, the planet known as Dune, is forever his place. - from "Manual of Muad'Dib" by The Princess Irulan
This song makes me cry now.
Very delicate indeed & loving the Blade Runner vibe
Ганс Циммер гений нашего времени. Спасибо ему за эти шедевры!!!
one of the greatest movies of ALL TIME with one of the greatest scores of ALL TIME
An absolute masterpiece of a soundtrack. This was the scene where Paul and Chani share their first kiss. Not going to lie, it was one of the most beautiful and romantic scenes I've ever seen in a movie.
I think this piece of music and the cinematography are the best aspects of the film.
Hans keeps Cooking phenomenal scores

Hans Zimmer is an amazing composer. His music makes Dune epic, I can't imagine anyone could have done the film any better justice.
Dune 2000 was my entry point to the franchise when I was 12 years old or some. Now I'm ready for Part 2. Long live the fighters!

The Dune miniseries was also my introduction to Dune. I saw Part 2 a couple days ago at the IMAX early screening and it was fantastic! Hope you enjoy it as much as everyone in my theater did. :) Long live the fighters!

Dune 2 was my entry point to the franchise when I was 8 or 9. Loved everything about the houses, the spice, Arrakis and the world around it. This music from the movie and the movie itself was amazing!

My body is ready for a third film from Denis -- Dune Messiah?! Denis Villeneuve, Greig Fraser, and Hans Zimmer can make any Sci-Fi and I will religiously watch it!
This movie isn't a film to watch, but a reality to experience.
Makes the hairs in the back of my neck stand, words cannot describe how amazing the movie and soundtrack were
Best movie in decades.
Simply a sensational symphony of audiophonical brilliance, ethereal elegance wrapped in the love of every note. It's back to the drawing board with my music!

I have goosebumps all over my body, I can see the hairs on my arm stand up. This is not just art, it is an experience to behold, you can Zimmer is so passionate about the source material.
Ok so why isn’t anyone saying that 7:11 is THE most moving part of those song. I mean the synth coming in to emphasize the magnitude of the emotion. So great.
The first feeling I got from this piece of music was that it was a love story and it fit in perfectly. At the end of the movie, it gave me a strange feeling to see Chani being betrayed/disappointed by Paul at the end. Several emotions of love, disappointment and suffering were mixed together. The music and the film implemented it perfectly, I've never seen or felt anything like it.
THE best movie in the world
