It blows my mind the things these stores throw away and destroy! Why not donate to charities and shelters? Why the waste?

sometimes the store I work at has to throw away products because harmful ingredients or chemicals are used in the batch we received.

I found that school teachers love those planners. I drop off a bunch every year to my local schools.

Toys can go to animal shelters!

even if they cut the wire from the hair dryer, you can add a new cable and it's like new. It is new. just sell it for less $, someone will need it. look, people don't have $ like they used to. someone will be happy

Do you donate anything you find? Like the toys would be loved by children who have none, or by a person who gives Easter baskets to the needy (there is a lady online who does this)?? Destroying their trash is a huge disservice to the poor of humanity! Bad stores, bad!! It’s like restaurants who throw their food away instead of donating it to the hungry. Why would you throw seasonal dog toys away? Dogs don’t know the difference between holidays! In the future, PLEASE donate any toys, no matter what holiday they are meant for! Shelter dogs would love any toys they get!

How do you fix the ones that are cut??

Try different drug stores. They throw out a lot of sealed brand new Candy beauty products and food items soda.

The linens probably returns and used. Stores can't resell. Have to process out as salvage, non-sellable. Require washing. Used makeup and cosmo products same have to toss but are processed for environmental pickup. Pet store items could be donated to pet shelters. Good finds and showing Corp waste.

I wish I could find stuff like this. I find plastic and cardboard 🤷🏻‍♀️

It is so infuriating that most states have fabric recycling programs, and business destroy and throw away perfectly good fabric! the retail and fashion industry seriously needs an overhaul

Happy planner runs some from July - June. So those may be from 2023-2024. But still I buy them 30% off every year and my mouth dropped when I saw them in there

Wondering that too. The amount of things found is almost unreal. All of the dumpsters around here are in spaces in view of passersby. How can someone do this in broad daylight and not be seen by the store employees. Don’t know.

You can donate those to like the humane society as you probably know or independent dog rescues.

If they Donte these items to homeless shelters etc., regular person with little money don’t have to donate for them😢

This makes me embarrassed to be an American. The waste that goes on in this country is appalling, there are so many people in need…not to mention how trashing perfectly good things is ecologically damaging. I can afford to buy whatever I want, and I have always chosen to buy second hand. Thank goodness these is a generation of younger people who dumpster dive…everyone should get in the car and drive to their nearest dumpster. Great haul!

It is hard to watch as the waste of these companies makes me feel angry.
