Thanks for not accusing the employees of stealing the items and hiding them in the dumpster. So many divers claim this and it amazes me that they think employees are hiding out of date, broken, damaged or unsell-able things and risking their jobs for them. Not happening-and it seems to save them from coming up with a better, catchy title.

I work at a store and yes, not all employees steal, but we have had a total of three new hires pretty much in a row steal money and one guy has a baby on the way. I have been a dumpster diver for years and I have found stashed stuff.

@@amyfinch9131 I too worked in retail and I didn’t see anyone steal anything apart from the odd pen or during Covid, toilet roll. I never saw anyone stash broken glasses, returned, out of season Christmas candies, and other goods to get them out of the dumpster later. Why? If you’re going to stash things why not stash them in the car to just drive away with later?

Exactly, I'd be surprised if employees are that desperate, most employees simply use any benefits the store has for them like getting a percentage off from their total (i hope that made sense Eng not 1st lang.). Even if some stores/companies don't have great benefits I doubt the majority of employees would think of doing this.

Omg same!! I legit got the nerve to try a dumpster and it was locked too. I don’t have anyone to go with! Not sure where u live but I live in PA. I would love to find someone to go with!!❤

I know I probably said this before but you find the most awesome stuff in the dumpsters! I go and we don't find anything in TJ. Plus the malls in my areas do not have their dumpsters outside. Great haul 😊

Here in new jersey they take all that stuff and put it into containers, locked. Then a truck comes and hauls them away. I asked my manager once why dont they sell it to the employees for pennys and his reply was that it is store policy. I think the stores dont want to get sued AND these products are shipped so the insurance can pay, they right it off as damaged goods. So sad. I would rather take all the "good stuff" and right it off as stolen then give them away. Or donate them and the store gets a right off.

Damaged, used, didn’t sell well……there are thousands of people that would love to get something like that! The write off can’t be that big so why not let people who can’t afford things like that go ahead and have it, especially the ones that throw it in the trash!! If it’s trash why do they care where it goes?? Dumb!

Employees don't accidentally throw away stuff. They do it on purpose or if they can't have the product

It varies from one city/state to another. Where I live it's legal unless it's locked or has a sign up. I've went a few times but never find much at all. Just a few things. Nothing exciting.

They do do it on purpose! I used to work for a supermarket and it’s called KPI’s, if something is rotten, or damaged or comes opened by the manufacturer, then we had to throw the item away and mark it up as a KPI. The company somehow still makes money on KPI. I assume from back taxes or something, not sure.

@@beckysartorI think it depends on the day they go searching, like maybe the day before stuff gets collected. Sometimes I watch videos and people find very little. It depends and it also depends on the store I think.

😂 the cute little bird is the national animal of New Zealand, I believe. They actually look like that. They’re called Kiwi’s. Like the fruit, don’t know if you spell it like the fruit, it it’s how you pronounce it. Love bath and body works ❤ You can still use the candles if the outside is cracked; gently take off the glass (being careful) and then you can get a glass container from dollar tree or light it on a dish without the glass. The candles smell so good. If you spend the night dumpster diving you must be so tired by morning; but I guess it’s worth it for what you can find 🎉

It’s not,but if they have no trespassing signs police can tell you to leave and if you are caught again you can get in trouble. It’s just best to grab and go as quickly as you can. I would t hang around.

I doubt it’s fake, seriously. I’ve seen guys who are fake dumpster divers and they are really terrible. This young lady would have to do so so much to make it look real if it was all fake. Like seriously, who would go through that much effort for a few views? I don’t think so.
