Considering these prices, I find the people who do this are smart. Unless you're just buying to follow a trend, I think it's logical to spend a few hundred bucks on a fake from *condup* to see if you actually like the bag and if it fits your life.

Now I only use high-quality replica bags as a daily match. Of course, I am happy to share my shopping secret - *condup* . I use the money saved to invest in myself, and also change the previous embarrassment of scrimping on food and clothing in order to buy authentic products.

Nice Haul! I wish I had your courage. I have anxiety too and I get nervous just comping things as I've been called less than nice things as a reseller. I even went to a church thrift and the staff was really mean to mean, hiding things from me and talking about me behind me back, they even confronted me at checkout and said I have the nerve to shop here and steal from the poor. These were church ladies too. At checkout everyone came to confront me at once, I told them I make enough to just pay my bills. Six old ladies against me at checkout, my anxiety and self-confidence stood no chance. Haven't been back since. All I did was comp a few items on my phone, I was very respectful. But you are giving me the courage to try again. I realized that day that you have to be thick-skinned to be in this business. I don't know why people have to be so mean. We're just trying to survive.

Right?! I'm not a reseller but don't knock anyone who is. I wonder if they have a glut of resellers coming to the church or they just don't like resellers. when there are too many resellers in the area, they can wipe out a little shop or non-profit quickly, before not-resellers get a chance. I know of a few places which limit resellers coming in, and they'll ask you at the door. that's 1% of the shops. most of them - from my experience - are cool about it. money is money is money, sometimes.

A few days ago I found a bag that was almost the same design as my dream bag, but the price blew my mind. I have a soul resonance with *condup* . It taught me that beauty doesn’t have to be expensive, it just has to be right.

I like casually going to garage sales, but honestly recently people have just been putting stuff out for like crazy prices and then they complain they didn't sell anything

I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to move to Utah or Pennsylvania if I'm going to be successful at being an eBay reseller & not live in Northwestern Oklahoma where there's barely any stores & ZERO thrift/antique stores within 150 miles of me! I wonder if Arizona has good thrift stores? I think my crippling arthritis would be better in Arizona.

In the valley of the sun, phoenix + surrounding cities, it's really hit or miss. Goodwill hasn't been the same since covid. You find better and more things in the smaller, local "mom and pop" type shops. I used to get all of my office supplies from Goodwill after school was out for the year and everyone gave everything away. After covid, they get nothing. Maybe once in a blue moon I'll score something I need....

I own those New Balances and they are so comfy!

The Camel bag might go well for men who collect the cigarette swag. My husband is into certain branded items of yesteryear. Italy leather bags last forever. Back in 2008/9 era, leather bags in Florence shops went for $100-$200, easy. I almost picked up a leather backpack I fell in love with, but I don't wear or use backpacks and I knew it would gather dust on a shelf, so had to pass. It made me so sad, but it is what it is. A local shop I thrift at I found some Japanese bags and the one puffy bag I picked up I just used on a 4-day road trip and it's my New Favorite Bag! Plenty of room to hold everything and NOT be heavy, easy to get in and out of...I might have to be buried with it. 😆 Foley & Agamo is an Australian designer/company, not in business anymore. Seem to have died out 2014/2015? Orange is my jam, totally would pick that up myself! Their bags show up on all the 2nd-hand sites.

Kicking myself I found a Bottega Veneta skirt at a thrift shop for $30. I passed because it didn't fit. Of course when the idea of reselling came to mind it was gone. Lesson learned.
