Just so you know the Longchamp bag is French and it pronounced Longshomp. There is a horse racetrack where they run the top horse race on the flat in Europe each year, the Prix De l’Arc de Triomphe, which is comparable to your Kentucky Derby but on grass 😃😃 Kathryn from the UK

The lady who had the Hummels( who was way off on the prices because they just arent worth much anymore) completely underpricing the murano piece and nesting dolls. She just loved her Hummels and didnt know that the other stuff really had value. Funny how that happens sometimes. What a haul on the purses! WOWZA! As always the silverware hits the jackpot again! Great video!

"This is one of the first Hummels and it's from the 70's".... which means it's not even close to one of the first hummels. WWII soldiers would send them home as gifts (they were already well established in Europe by then). Back before the internet and eBay, people had no idea how many. There actually were in existence, and they thought they were much rarer than they really were. When people saw huge values placed on them, everybody listed theirs for sale, and the market dropped like a lead weight. So, your Beanie Baby remark was actually spot on.

Exactly. I had a yard sale a couple years ago and my brother had a bunch of stuff that was his wife’s and I looked them up. Let’s say this thing I was selling was worth 100 and I had 50 on it. This guy comes in tells me, oh on eBay that only sells for $30 or whatever because he had looked it up. And I said yeah I looked it up two and they’re selling for 100 bucks he goes there listed for 100 bucks does it mean that they were sold. He was arguing with me so badly that I just let him have it for 25 bucks and I guarantee you he got over $100 for it. I understand that people want stuff dirt cheap but there are some people doing a yard sale that clearly need the money. And yeah, nobody’s going to buy them at that price so instead of getting a good price for this item that my brother needed the money for because his wife had actually loved him and left all the stuff he got pennies on the dollar. It was something that we weren’t going to ship either even if we had sold it on eBay there was no way this item was gonna get shipped.

I'm glad y'all grabbed the Longchamp bag. The Le Pliage are especially popular because they fold up so they're easy to take on the go. They're even more popular in Europe. Also, it's common for that style to have corner wear. Longchamp fans know that so they still sell. They are considered luxury, so even if you see some of their leather bags don't pass them by without at least looking them up. Hummel is one of those collectibles where the value has gone down significantly, but it can still be worth looking up. Some pieces might be more valuable than others and the market fluctuates. So, if you can get a good deal when the market is high it might be worth your time.

The two of you found some great stuff in this video. The pattern of the quilt top is 'Grandmother's Flower Garden'. It's a somewhat difficult pattern made the English paper piecing method. You found some good handbags. Longchomp is pronounced "Lawn Chom", the g and p are silent.

Pertaining to the quilt topper which was a bit yellowed you could always tea dye as a way of getting rid of yellow and giving the piece new life, as it would simply appear to be finished in an antiqued way. Carry on ..

A few months ago, I'd never heard yall talk about Brighton, but I found a Brighton belt where the belt buckle was a CHERUB face. It was SO cool. Knew i had to look it up. It was super small though like 26" around so I bought for 2 and sold for around $18. I loved selling it though!! Cool brand!

Had a idea is to buy vacuum bags that you can suck the air out of it. I was able to put more in a box if you shrink it all.. I got a queen bedding in a medium flat rate box. You may ship it to Matt's in California if your closer to his place . Then have Matt ship it when you sell stuff..

You know...that comforter would not have been $50 to mail back to Kentucky. Just a lil reseller tip...take any packed box and put it in a sturdy trash bag-tape it secure and closed and then use Pirate Ship and when inputting the pkg info, chose box in bag option and watch that price go DOWN! I mainly ship antique and vintage glass and believe me, it's heavier than a comforter. lol And I've been using this method when I can, mainly for the longer distance ships and it's really saving money, have had NO damage and no issues at all. Try it!!! lol ❤

Did your air b&b have a vacuum cleaner? You could make a point of bringing vacuum seal bags, which would make something like the Anthropology bedspread less unruly, easier to put in suitcase or ship.
