Dumbbell Only Leg Workout For SIZE (This is No Joke)

Спорт

We had such a great response to all the other dumbbell only workouts that we had to do legs. In this video I will show you a 5 exercise leg workout only using dumbbells. If you do this right you can grow some very nice legs in no time. I know that you might not have heavy dumbbells at home so if that's the case you will just have to do more reps and sets. I explain that all in the video.
Make sure you don't miss the rest of the dumbbell only workouts: • Dumbbell only workouts

Great series sir. I think most guys who only train with a barbell would be surprised by how much progress they can kickstart by focusing on Bulgarian Split Squats and Single Leg Romanian Deadlifts on their second leg day of the week.

I love the Bulgarian Split Squat, incorporated it 1,5 years ago into leg workouts thanks to a lower back injury. Always did them with 2 dumbbells, 1 in each hand. It also resulted in me being able to do pistol squats :D. But since holding 1 dumbbell can be focussed more on teardrop or vastus lateralis, how would holding 2 dumbells work into this?

No hate John, love all your videos in this series but do you have a more difficult set of exercises that I could do, because I only have 20 pound dumbbells and I don’t want an extremely high rep range

@@carloslewis1283 You could do slower reps and pause at the bottom perhaps. During quarantine, I did the same and I bought some resistance bands eventually to add some extra resistance. But I bet John knows more about all of this so who knows maybe he has some golden eggs left to throw at us :P

I started my garage gym in 2017. I had a few dumbbells and a bench. I’d perform the Bulgarian split with 30, 35, and 45 lbs dumbbells. As soon as I bought a squat rack and barbell set, I gave up dumbbell leg exercises. I didn’t want these exercises to detract from my squatting numbers. It was a huge mistake. No squats have ever had the same affect as Bulgarian split squats. It feels as though there is broken glass interwoven in the fibers of your butt cheeks muscles the following day. Another great and informative vid John. Thanks!

I do almost all of these and I always start with Jen Hewards..with your back on the yoga ball against the wall & dumbells in hand & 4 sets of varied squats like on an invisible leg machine. It’s killer and I haven’t lost any leg muscle mass from the gym closing.
