Top Video, wie immer! 🤙🏼 Bin die Mono vor einer Woche auch schon gefahren. Geniales Eisen mit einem schönen Sound! Als großer Mensch mit einer Offroad Affinität liebe ich die Geometrie und das Drücken. Für mich ist die Mono auch besser geeignet als die KTM Pendants. Oh, sogar der erste Kommentar. 😂

You really are so lucky getting to drive on such beautiful roads. Where I'm from (Aalst - Belgium) it takes me over an hour driving to get to the nice bits a little. Still... every day the sun is out I'm there blasting the living snot out of my Rocket R3 😂

@@BlackMag111 Damals Yamaha mit der 250er z.B. - WR 250 X 139 kg vollgetankt mit 30 PS und 6.695 € Neupreis. Sowas sollte mal wieder gebaut werden! Man könnte natürlich eine Honda CRF300L umbauen. Die ist von Daten ziemlich ähnlich.

Knowing the 690 very well, but without having ridden the 698, I'm 100% certain the KTM doesn't even get close to the quality of a Ducati. Ducati always puts far superior suspension into their bikes and it's not difficult to make a better gearbox than that of the 690.

Indeed. The Ducati is superior. Much better brakes, much better suspension. Regarding the engine, my colleagues and I compared the Mono with the 690. In 3rd gear starting at 50kph they are equally fast.

@@Schaaf you should ride a 690 with exhaust, intake and power commander. Completely different bike. Can do the same to the Hyper, but bend over, it's over $3k here in US to do Ducatis exhaust filter and flash. Twice the $$ as doing the same to the KTM. Gotta pay to play!

oh love this bike i was at the dutch bike expo two weeks ago and they had this bike there only problem i have as a old first carmechanic (12 years working as one) i want to be able to do things myself and with yamaha and suzuki i can do olmost all the work myself on mt 07 i do valve adjustment but this bike is perfect for me with how it rides

Where do you position your zoom h1n mate. I only got mine recently and messed around a bit. Have to set my gain low and I put it in the rear seat. Do you do the bag method?
As an 690 SMCR rider i have been interested in this bike since it got revealed. I like all the electronic and the sound. Hopefully KTM improves in this regard. Supermoto are a chore to ride outside the B and mountain roads but you described it at being easier to ride so im even more interested.

Right now I'm tryna move up from a ninja 400 to a 600. But after that I might wanna get one of these 700 singles. It's the same concept as the 400 like a super lightweight flickable bike, and a lot of these bikes actually have way more power

the mono sounds nothing like the L twin Ducati, it has the mixed feeling between the KTM 690 and maybe still some Ducati in it, but great sounding bike, Thanks for the video as always

I am a few cm taller than you and I tested an older hypermotard. It was nice and smooth, but also a bit boring. This one had a seat height of 825 mm (32.5 in). It was too small for me and also did not give me a supermoto vibe; more like a fancy daily. I believe the model you saw in this video has a seat height of 904mm (35.6 in), which is way better, yet my old husky smr 570 has a seat height of 920 mm / 36.2 in and I can still put both my feet flat on the ground. You do not want the old hypermotard. Too small and not really exciting to ride. Do wonder how the latest model feels like.

This is pretty standard cable routing for dualsport bikes, extra brake line to accommodate for longer suspension travel

hatte die mono probleme in den 1 gang zu kommen wie die Monster wenn man z.b über 50 kmh ist und runter schalten will oder is das nur ein "Einzelfall" von der monster? wenn die keine 15k kosten würde bei uns wäre die absolut genial als 2tes bike

From your review, tbh it sounds like a single ver of Hypermotard. It has its own place yet still… it’s not simply something good (from typical road rider like you) or bad (from typical supermoto rider). So now 450 (supermoto) - 690:701 (supermoto/naked) - duc698 (naked/supermoto) - hypermotard (naked/super?)
