Everybody always raves about the inline 3, V4 or crossplane 4 making the best sound. But when you're up in the revs, giving a heavy inline 4 with a good exhaust some gas..man, that raspy baritone scream! The sensation is real!
@ih8momjokes1

i agree. although the aprilia v4 is by far the best sounding bike! idling, fly by, acceleration, it always sounds good

You’re right, raspy baritone scream. But most in-line 4s are knowns to scream upwards of 13-14k rpm and people are just bored of that tenor range sound. Hayabusa, Z900, ZX-14R, ZH2 all don’t rev that high, about 11k rpm giving it a bassy and low pitch sound

Agreed, this sounds great! You’d have to be delighted riding this around 😃 I have a V4 NC30 Honda, Daytona 675 120 degree crank triple, and original flat plane R1, all sound distinctive but the triple edges it for me. The Aprilia V4 and CBX1000 straight six have to be in the top 5 of all time street bikes though 👌🏻

have you ridden a proper sportbike? XD
Nobody mentionned how good your positioning is when you’re taking turns (near the middle lane when you turn right, and on the right side of the road when you turn left) In france these turning techniques are taught in police school, it is safer because you have better view on the end of the turn This made your video very pleasant to watch because i never felt like you were in danger

Always a pleasure to watch your channel Schaaf and the wide variety of bikes (as other have mentioned) you demo. I've discussed a few different rides briefly with you and just wanted to drop a quick line to say I just pulled the trigger on a brand new 2023 Z900 SE getting delivered in a couple days! Can't wait to get out on it! Should be a great update to my 2010 Ninja 650. Cheers man! Keep em coming! 🐺

Hello, Can you tell us your feeling after riding the Z900 SE ? I'm thinking about upgrading from a 2020 Z650 to a normal Z900. Thanks. Ride safe.
@Kwikasfuki007
6 ай бұрын
@@omarcherqaoui247 Hello, Not a lot I can tell you as I live in Canada and it's currently winter here . I did have it for a short 20 km run and what I can tell you that it will feel heavier than your Z650 during slow speed maneouvers but it feels more manageable once you're moving at traffic speeds and more planted/stable. It is a physically bigger bike. The motor will be much smoother than the 650. I found the Z900 more rumbles at idle than vibrates, but once moving it's smooth like butter. Because I'm still at break-in period, I could only get to 5000 rpm and at that stage, it was just getting ready to take off! It's going to be a screamer, I can already tell. Hard to say yet as I mentioned, but it feels like it's about 30-40% more powerful than the 650. The brakes, are significantly more powerful for sure. If you could imagine your Z650 on steroids, with the engine, brakes, then that's what it's like, so far anyway. Is it worth upgrading, well, depends on what you want and what you use your bike for. I am 190 lbs, 5'10" and have 12 years riding experience for reference. Would I want to start on this? If you have some discipline while you learn then perhaps. It wouldn't be my recommendation because the 650 is more forgiving which is important while learning IMO. Things on the Z900 happen much faster so you need to be thinking and looking ahead more. I hope this helps.
Brutal sound and acceleration 💪

My eyes are watering from the speed... and I'm just sitting behind the computer screen. What a nice ripper and Mr. Schaff can lay it down. Excellent audio too! The little chattering I hear during hard braking... swing arm bounce? I agree on the loud pipe. I've been there done that and after a while it gets old and wears you down. Plus, I don't like being that guy with the loud bike that pisses off my neighbors. Nice work sir!

Have a '22 black and blue Z900. Just got back from a 1K mile trip To Oregon , US. I've had this bike for 2 years, 12k miles. I have to say, I love this bike the more I ride it. Wouldn't want a real loud full system. Have just a slip on and ecu flash. Still can hear the badass intake roar. Little jet for 9k US. Smooth, torquey 4 banger. Took off in 5th the other day- effortlessly. Had a '20 MT09 and prefer the Z.I know, the new ones are better. That's what they said about the earlier models. Will stay with me till the lights go out.

Even though loud, it does sound really good! As you mentioned I think rider wise it'll be better then for bystanders. Makes me want to get my slip on for my '08 Z750 now. But sadly I can't yet, one of the reasons is cause I don't know which one.😆 So many nice options! I do want the E approval obviously. I also do love the fact it doesn't rev sky high but still pretty much in a nice rev range maxing out at around 11/12k RPM's. Being quite new to riding and to my bike i can't imagine me riding my bike the way you do, or even close to that. So hat of to you. It seemed hella quick, I mean mine is quick as well, even though I haven't thoroughly checked all of it's potential just yet.

God I love my z900. Arguably my favorite bike I’ve owned. I’m considering trading for a z900rs at some point because I love the style more, and the slightly more relaxed ergos. But I’m not sure how much the performance will change between the two.

@exe16
6 ай бұрын
I've ridden both, back to back. Performance-wise, the RS packs noticeably more punch down low especially in 1st (which is shorter) but feels like it asks for more RPM when it hits the rev limiter. Feels like they purposedly capped it, which doesn't happen on the regular Z900. As for comfort, the difference is night and day: the RS is MUCH more comfortable, from the higher bars, to the lower pegs and the much comfier seat, especially for the passenger (more to the demerit of the regular Z900, though). The suspension is much softer too, to the point that it feels kinda unsafe to be ridden hard, imo, especially with a seat and tank that doesn't provide good areas for you to hold on to. Long story short, the RS is the better bike if you just want to cruise and do longer trips, generally staying on the speed limits but with a lot of power on reserve if the situation demands. The regular Z is probably better on the streets due to being smaller if your country permits lane filtering/splitting but the softer suspension on the RS can be better suited for this scenario if the streets on you city don't have the best quality. The regular Z also is better if you have a more spirited riding style, as it has suspension and ergonomics better suited for this. This area is also further enhanced by the SE version (which I currently own), with the Ohlins suspension and the Brembo brakes, especially if you like messing with the suspension setup and really tailoring it for your style of riding.
When I tested z900 my first thought was: this bike is definitely sounds ok with standard exhaust. This zard system is just an overkill.
