I don’t do it on stretched out hair. I do a “dry and go” on hair that’s washed but dried in it’s natural state. I have my hair in chunky twists while it’s drying. Great video!

Say what??! The natural hair community never ceases to amaze me with the amount of techniques they put out on the daily! I’m going to try it though 😂😂

That is the only “wash n go” method I️ use. Regular ones just take to long. I️ just put my detangled hair in chunky twist with leave in after I️ wash, and let it dry about 80% through. Then I️ just define It with eco styled gel. Dries super quick, with no hassle definition. (I️ have type 4 Hair, mostly 4b 4c)

The green eco styler is great!

I know Jaelah Majette was doing this before it became a big thing only because she felt as if her hair was more defined and behaved better when styling while dry. She did a normally wash and go with leave in and cream and gel and oil on dry hair. New subbie btw. I love your personality🙌🙌💕😍😊

This works better with gel. I do this sometimes. Also you can cheat with a little spritz of water. This method makes the dry time so quick

I've done this so many times before and it works perfectly on my hair. I either use Eco styler gel or aunt Jackie's curl la la/ curl manetenance. I've even done it in dirty hair and it was fine for me.

Here 5 years later to say this was giving lol I’m about to try this for church cause baby we need something quick to do.

I did mine with the eco black castor flaxseed oil gel and it turned out great!! I don't think I've seen anyone do it with a leave-in.

I just did this today with mielle Organics custard and smoothie. I put the smoothie in first then oil, braid it up in four sections and waited til it dried some before putting the custard on top.... it works for me

This works great with gel and a Denman brush, pops more with the brush on dry hair

I think you should try it again with gel.

I prefer these to a typical wash and go. My hair shrinks like crazy so I wash my hair in twists and stretch them overnight in most cases. It dries WAY faster, gives me a little more length and I like my definition with these ones better. I just use a spray leave in and my gel and I’m Gucci 🤗🤗

I’ve done a wash n go on dry hair, but I did spritz it with warm water and added a bit of a moisturizer. This seems like you’d use a lot of product & it would take longer to dry. Also, I’ve done it on clean hair. Your makeup is cute.

my hair gets super dry when i wet my hair before adding product and it also makes it flake in the front every single time. A dry n go is the only thing that works on my hair and keeps it lookin bomb and moisturized.

I did dry and gos years ago. I really like them because I could extend my wash n Gos. But using eco gel made a world of difference . I didn’t need a leave in.

Janae Mason Hey!!! I usually use the olive oil or Argan oil Eco Style gel. I have also tried Kinky Curly custard with the knot today leave in and the Camille Rose Curlmaker with their coconut water leave in. These last two gels can be tricky when on dry hair because if you use too much, your hair will come out sticky.

When idea wash and Go on soaking wet hair my shrinkage is disrespectful and my roots regardless of detangling and gel on the roots it was a wreck. Dry and go is my favorite hairstyle now.

It's much better with gel.. I'm low porosity and my hair seems to do better with it being dry,than soaking wet. I've been doing this for 3yrs now. Hope if you try it again you have better luck. 😊

i do dry wash an gos in the winter that way it doesn't take as long to dry. They i put it in a high puff.

ive tried this years ago. i feel like its better for people whos curls dont really like to become defined. so you would do it on an old twist out or braid out that still has some definition but needs to be retouched. but i havent tried it since.... i'll just stick to twist/braid outs

Anything you do looks good!! I do think ECO would probably work better..I do use that product regularly.

I did this after watching a video from Happycurlhappygirl. It gave me the longest lasting wash and go I have ever had. I just used oil and Olive oil Eco.

A dry and go is my go to and I use uncle funkys daughter curly magic and it always comes out gd for me I think u should try half ur with it and the next with the eco and see which you like better.

i like dry n gos bc more than like i air dried my hair in twist pulled back. i'm not a fan of my shrinkage so i like my ''dry n gos'' to be elongated without having use heat on the root to do so

I love this .Girl u do u .don't let no body say it's too long and what ever .dry and go is like the og white girl move u know they just put product no wash and still rock it we can too .I do this but diffrent I do this in my re moisture time .like open twist out and reapply leave in conditioner and olive oil eco and a bit of shae butter mix

I like this if u have a lot of shrinkage and want to show ur length without wetting ur hair completely. (Aka me)

I've done something similar....i started off dry hair... detangled...and then sectioned...lightly spritz then I used eco.... very little shrinkage...nicr curl definition...and half the drying time. Maybe try it that way. 😊

Janae Mason the eco styles gel.. I used a little bit of water, leave in, then gel. The regular process. It came out okay. But like you said I might have defeated the purpose a little by using the water.

Next time I will use the mousse, I will always be using a leave in .No more 5 hour mini twists. It doesn't look good on me.

What i do is do 4 twists or 8 twists total, sit under the dryer for like 20 mins, untwist them shake a little and then make under the dryer ans dont fluff until dry, and its a wash and go with a ton of definition. Ive done this with my DC too when i didnt have time to wash it out and style but will finish later, if I want...

I've done this with Cantu's Coconut Curling Cream and it's excellent! I didn't even have to use a diffuser. My curls popped and the back section was dry by the time I got to the front, and my hair usually takes 12 years and 6 days to dry. So I'm not sure what it is about the product, but it works literal miracles for me! It's a literal dry and go!

Not a struggle bus 🤣🤣🤣... front of my hair is a struggle too.. I started cutting it then it had the nerve to grow the same way again... like I cut my hair thinking it was heat damage and it wasn’t even damaged

It kind of looks like you have a texturized and sat under the dryer but with more volume.

I think you could mist a little bit of water on each section just don't saturate your it.

I have tried it before with the eco black castor and flaxseed and it was a Dry and NO! It was too sticky and didn't last.

XD i do this i just let the leave in conditioner moisturize. Honestly its a time saver days before a wash day and u dont wanna be late. I cant gel though xD

I've discovered this technique through trial and error trying to achieve a wash'n go on my 4c hair. I call it a no wash n' go 😆 It is best to use a gel and a curl activator cream (there is a video on my channel if you wanted to see exactly what I use). But this technique is best for those with tight curls/coily hair as it would give an extra stretched appearance on looser parts.

So so so true! I just discovered this about 3 or 4 months ago. My hair looks sooooooooo bomb on stretched hair and I use African Pride's gel it's so moisturizing and actually gives a good hold for my 4c hair! My hair is constantly in wng (dry n go's) now

So I tried that once and it might as well have been a wng cause my thick hair needed so much water sprayed on it for the gel to act right.

Thanks for taking one for team but like you expression reflected....it’s a no, nope, not for me. I for one have not perfected the wash n go so I cant say that I’ll try that method. Honestly your hair looked more defined on the left ( our view) with the custard. As always, I love your videos, you make me laugh every time! 😂❤️
