A Ukrainian mortar team takes pride in accurate strikes, even at a distance and at night, aided by drones that provide the exact location of Russian troops and military equipment. The team leader says the targeting data helps his fellow soldiers remain at a safe distance during artillery duels.

Propaganda for either side, written reports, independent strategists, military historians, mil bloggers. Telegram and twitter. Political analysts, political philosophers. Examine all sources, critique all sources. It's called critical thinking. I recommend it.

it might be about the size of the charge too, this one had 3.5km range and made very modest noice/muzzle flare, the ones that fire further are guaranteed to pack more punch and have worse recoil at launch.

@MILETE Pray that they have the good sense to surrender. The Ukrainian “I want to live” program has saved numerous Russian lives in informing them of the correct way to surrender to Ukrainian forces once in country. The Ukrainians then take them into custody to use as collateral in prisoner swaps. They also list the soldiers as “captured” vs “surrendered” so as to hopefully save their families back home from any potential retribution.

According to intercepted calls, the russians sleep at night because they have no night vision. Drones with night vision can make a difference for sleeping soldiers! Soldiers from Russia should go home to Russia and sleep in their own beds!

Helping ensure no one he insured dies. Now that's an insurance company I would sign up with.
Drones help keep you from stumbling over an enemy position and being shot up. They are great Scouts and artillery spotters. It keeps your equipment out of plain sight. You can even check your position from above to make sure your camouflage is in the right place

How do they compute the angle ? Do they have a table for the parabolic trajectory for the initial angle, and they adjust for the next shot?

They have smartphone apps that can do the calculations for indirect fire support. You need the coords of the spotter (=drone=target) and the coords from the mortar team (given by the smartphone's GPS) and then just the type of mortar and ammunition and then you get the angle

Russia is one of the richest countries in the world (oil, gas, gold, diamonds etc) and it is also one of the most corrupt and mismanaged. So all that wealth ends up in the wrong places...mostly in the pockets of a very small elite.

@@John_1.1 that's why I said Russian soldier and people are one of the poorest on the world , not Putin and his dictatorship mops they are one of the richest government on earth but the people is totally opposite.
