Well it´s an 9k35 "Strela-10" GRAU designation or SA-13 "Gopher" NATO reporting name, which is actually the predecessor of the SA-9 .. guess I won the smartass contest..

Glory in war is but an illusion fabricated to make young men throw away their lives. In reality the ordinary soldier will not be remembered by history. There is nothing glorious about killing each other in combat, since in the end to survive one young man took another young man's life, who both had their personality, dreams and a family. Where you call glory all I see is tragedy and misery.

Woah.. wait. The Tunguska, not the Strela you said that is a Tunguska, is actually a really good Anti Aircraft System. Just because its Design is old, doesnt mean the vehicle is bad. The Tunguska is upgradeable, just like the Abrams and Leopard 2 Tanks which originated in the 80s.. u know.. soviet era.

Tunguska is cool but this looks like an original. With upgrades, yes it could be much better.
I know they are used for camouflage but I really like the way the branches make the vehicle look, its like its been in the woods for years waiting its time to strike.

Reminds me of hunting, whether it is pheasants turkeys or deer and elk. Especially hunting with a bow, 15 seconds is a very wide window to shoot in. But you rarely get that. You have seconds to sit up, pull back your bow sight in and let the arrow fly.

The Ukrainian troops take what they have at hand and make it lethal...brave ,resourceful people
Old outdated stuff being put to good use as best possible. Definitely a patchwork of equipment and systems. Had modern air defenses been supplied right after 2014, Ukraine would be much safer and further along in the defense of their country. My thoughts are still pushing towards supplying Ukraine with the most advanced Brazilian turboprops now, with air-to-air systems that can shoot down drones along the coast and as these missiles and systems move across Ukraine towards the cities. These planes are fast, have advanced electronics and weapons. They should easily be able to chase down these Iranian drones! After that, Ukraine needs superior fighter jets that can hit Russian bombers at the border when necessary!

This illegal, & unjust war would not have gone on for 8 dang months now, if the United Nations would've gotten rid of the RU who are holding onto a seat on the So-Called 'Security Council', which belonged to a country that No Longer Exists - the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). The RU, by holding onto that seat, are able to continuously Vote Down any such help from us (🇺🇸), or the rest of the Western Alliance.

@@pignonefisso fast, reliable, easier to maintain than jets, modern avionics, air-to-air systems that can shoot drones. Probably cheaper than the ground based systems and can cover a much larger area than stationary missiles. Pilots ready or in the air 24/7. Like the defense of London during ww2.

The last part is a STRELA-10 Anti-Aircraft Missile system. This was the missile system used in the movie "Behind Enemy Lines". Two missiles that gave chase to the F-18F Super Hornet that was eventually shot down behind enemy lines.

what gets me is the contrast between the Ukrainian and the Russia soldier - the Ukrainians look like a professional, cohesive, well motivated and trained force, they seem to be smartly turned out, understand the use of topography, tactics and the limitation in their weaponry - where as the Russian soldiers seems to lack these elements.

The Ukrainian Warriors are freaking amazing! In just 8 short months they have turned into an effective professional Army able to take on Russia. They are incredibly adaptable because they are taking weapon systems from various nations and from various eras and learning how to use them almost overnight! It's really nothing short of amazing. And they clearly have courage and high morale because they are taking the weapons that are given to them and using them with deadly accuracy against the Russians. They are pushing the Russians back day by day.

I always have a laugh when the Russians claim that they are fighting NATO troops who actually well trained and well supplied Ukrainians---what a shock it is to them that the Ukrainian Army has so quickly become the finest combat effective army in Europe. Just look at the men and their gear---as together and efficient as NATO's best, they are now professionals, including those who were students, waiters and musicians a year ago. The Russian Army is in way over their heads.

Those stinger missiles came from the US. The US has also sent NASAAMS and UK starstreak. Problem is, these are all expensive weapons that require a lot of time to train crews for so they wont ever replace tunguskas or strelas entirely for the Ukrainian military but they do augment their air defense by a lot

3:17 that's not a 2K22 Tunguska/ SA-19 Grison (cannon+missiles) but a 9K35/ SA-13 Gopher (just missile)
BTW that mushroom shaped thing on the Strela 10 system near drivers hatch and modernized IFF module on top of rocket containers, it seems like those are systems donated by Czech Republic (modernized in 1990s).

Tunguska Anti Aircraft gun is the counterpart version Gépard Anti Aircraft gun from Germany 🇩🇪 they have supply to Ukraine
Tunguska Anti Aircraft gun have shown here he replaced the much older Soviet era the ZSU Shilka Carrier and then Tunguska was replaced by S1 Pantsir combination of Anti Aircraft guns and Missile Batteries in unit one alone and while the Strela 10 or SAM 8 have been replaced by S300 and S400 Missile Batteries .

The Tunguska is not a pure gun based system it uses both guns and missiles and the Pantsir is an much improved version of the Thunguska

@@soreeyez Russian leadership & military achievements so far during the war in Ukraine. *Into the 9th month of a 3 day 'special military operation'. *Failed to take Kyiv. *Failed to remove Ukrainian leadership. *Changed their strategic plan multiple times. *Dismissed 4 Generals since the start of the war. *Still have not gained air-superiority despite having a supposedly far superior airforce. *Lost the flag-ship of the Black Sea Fleet to a country with basically no navy. *Took, but could not hold, the tiny Snake Island. *Significantly boosted NATO membership and strength. *Ensured Ukraine's eventual membership of the EU and, longer term, most likely also NATO. *Suffered massive troop and equipment losses. *Lost more ground in 1 month then what was taken in 5 months. *About to loose Kherson. *Became the biggest arms supplier to Ukraine from abandoned and captured hardware. *Committed multiple war crimes. *Had to try to mobilise 300,000 extra troops at month 7 for the 3 day 'special military operation'. *Got so desperate decided to declare martial law. *Destroyed their economy. *Turned their biggest trading partners against them. *Couldn't even defend the most defended bridge in the world. *Regular displays of poor fire safety and smoking in non designated areas. *Resorted to nuclear threats against a non-nuclear nation. *Targeted civilians because their army is getting smashed by the Ukrainian army. *Tactically and logistically incompetent. *Have a poor understanding of combined-arms warfare. *Fast running out of precision strike capability and have limited ability to build more without western supplied parts. *While attempting to 'de-nazify' Ukraine they scored an own-goal and nazified themselves.
