Driving for the Dough
Ride along with a load of sugar used for baking cookies, picked up in Montana and makes its way all the way to South Carolina in the back of a semi truck. Some of the sights you will see are Truck Stops in North Dakota, The Wisconsin Dells, a Service Plaza in Chicago and much more. Trucking is an Adventure!

Jack, I just spent 6 weeks in the hospital and my grandson ask me what was the first thing I was going to do when I got home and I told him I was going to get caught up with Indyanna Jack on my computer ! he said who's that so now he watches you ,thanks again .
A most interesting trip, thanks for taking us along. That Wisconsin Dells place is really pretty.
Agreed, we NEED the industry, just not the "Frickin' Frackin'". LOL As usual, another terrific video. Keep up the great work, and keep it safe out there!
I can imagine the wisonsin board of tourism chocked on their donuts when they heard you advise peeps across the pond to avoid wisconsin winters despite the reports voracity , truth to power brother, how refreshing
Cookie Ops never stop Jack...Remember the time you walked into that company and nobody was home?
Thanx for the ride, Jack...Great show, keep it up !
Thanks for these great videos. I'm studying for my CDL Class A license and the way that you shoot your videos makes it easy follow along as if you're also behind the wheel. I'm checking 15 seconds ahead, watching the traffic around you. You get a very good sense of the road and what's out there from a truckers POV. Please keep it up.

You're doing yourself a great service following Jack and some of the other truckers with channels. You can learn a LOT from watching these guys. Not only the driving part and handling customers and dispatchers, but for the most part THESE guys keep a positive attitude. Learn from that. And much success in your career.
Another great video, thanks Mr.Jack
Awesome! I like how you mix it up and make each one a little bit different. The voice over was a nice touch, very pro!
Starbucks needs to teach their people to smile. Great movie!
Thumbs up for you,as always, Jack. B-)

That was a good trip, thanks Jack.
great vid as always...thanks
You got a squeak every time you turn the steering wheel. Driving me crazy!
Thx for great video.
Love your videos can't wait to get on the road. Be safe out there
Cool video, like your channel.
I watched this video on 6/23/2018 - I can really see the difference 5 years has made on Old Red looks wise........ You know I believe since they started making drivers keep a log book, then did away with paper logs because paper logs could easily be “fudged”, the E-Log has created more demand for truck drivers. You figure every truck on the road has to stop for 30 minutes, then 10 hours, etc. that is a lot of time that drivers are sitting (down-time). I know in the old days as a kid of about 17 years old, I’d load flat beds with steel bars of all sizes and configerations (25 ton bridge crane). Not only did they over load and know how to avoid the scales, they'd sleep six hours and drive the rest. To me, that is fairly dangerous, so the E-Log does two things, makes trucking a bit safer for everyone and provides more work for the same trucks and work for new truckers that are new and still learning especially OTR drivers. Of course that is just my opinion I could be wrong. Currently flat beds can't work hard enough which is a combination of the E-Log’s and our economy in my opinion. ............ I always enjoy riding along with you Jack...
I really do enjoy your videos Jack. another great one here. be safe out there.
Thanks for taking us along !
Love this one...beautiful scenery, excellent video quality, nice.. Bill in Ca
Good man Jack!
What a sweet run. 😎
That was a neat video. What a difference between beginning and end with the scenery. You weren't too far from me in Columbia. Thanks for sharing.
My favorite so far though is your footage of Oregon.
thank you for the ride, Sir :)
Got a chuckle of the truck stop you were at in Dickinson, ND (Tiger truck stop) and the true "Tiger" truck stop in Louisana.... Been to the one in LA a few times going to visit family in MS...
thank you for the video jack
In golf, it's drive for show and putt for DOUGH, ha ha ha ha ha
Kind of cool seeing the old Louisville bridge again. Been in the new several times...js
Great stuff .
Another Great video once again now i need a big glass of milk with all those cookies lol:) be safe on the highways!
Interesting,i drive mixer truck,I never went over the road, its a whole different game.i have to do log books, but we can drive 14 hour days the way ours are set up.i like seeing how you have to think about things as a long haul driver.seems to me if you don't play your cards right you can end up loosing money if you get paid by the mile.i guess that is where experience comes to play!!god bless I enjoy watching your videos.be safe out there.
Take the cookies if they give you some samples jack.hey looking good stay safe.love your vlogs
Awesome VIDEO, love the trip. Stay safe. JP Malette, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 3 hours north of your sugar pickup.

I wish i had a blinker like yours ours sticks on at times -you know what i mean no doubt.
That's some fancy ordering at the Starbucks. Great video as always.
Business is needed imperative in America Jack. The more the merrier ......more loads for truck drivers too.
Loved the video!! Next time you swing through the KC yard, I would like to meet you. Never met anyone famous before. lolol
Just ran into your channel, pretty neat, think I'll subscribe. I have always pondered becoming a driver after my current career wraps up on a year or so.....ready for an entire different career and I love the thought of driving into Miami and three days later being in northwestern North Dakota.
Great video. Archive.
Interesting Video.
The tiger in Louisiana has the best red beans and rice in the damn country. Plus throw in some of that sweet chili sauce on the table along with the corn bread and sausage they give you. Damn, now I have to go to Louisiana.

great video loved it keep em coming ps when you were leaving the service plaza in il after you got your coffe that was one sharp green pete i think it was pulling that stainless steel spread axle reefer getting off on the other side of the freeway
Nice edits!
Hello Jack. I very much enjoy your videos and have been following you on your channel for some time. You need to check the ground on your turn signals. The right turn signal is okay, with the interrupter module being normal. However, your left turn signal is suffering from a poor ground, as the interrupter is operating at a rapid pace. A sign of a poor ground. Safe motoring, cheers.
It seems that you live out of the truck stops. You see a lot of videos from other truckers saying eating out all the time is a good way to go broke. Also, the health repercussions from eating high fat high sodium food all the time will take its toll.
Another video Jack where ya were in my neck of the woods.😁😁😉😉
Theres a pilot flyin j on interstate 94 on the state line of montana, north Dakota. Been there a few times when I was living in fallon mt. Keep on truckin
WOW YOU WERE IN MY HOME TOWN MENOMONIE WISCONSIN. NOW THERE IS THREE TRUCK STOPS WHERE YOU STOPPED AT EXIT 45. A LOVES TRUCK STOP, ALSO RECENTLY BUILD TWO YEARS AGO 2015. WE HAVE 3M AND CONGRA FOR SOME OF INDUSTRIES. MAYBE THAT IS WHAT YOU WERE TRYING TO THINK OF FOR COMPANIES AT MENOMONIE.
I might be moving to Montana soon, gonna be a dental floss tycoon. Frank Zappa Exellent video.

Nice Wis. & Ill. I-road history stories. Voice over travel info is okay too.
we have a really small Flying J in Minot
Jack, your blinker is blinking really fast, common to a burnt out bulb, or a flasher about to give out on you.
One of your lights is out on truck by the rapid pace of your left turn signal.
If you go to the dells in the summer ... bring a fly shatter.....Lou
In my limited experience, if a turn signal flashes rapidly and the other flashes normally, its usually caused by a burned out bulb. Could be dual bulbs in the front with one burned out or a single element burned out on the bulb on the rear of the tractor. Just a thought cause little things like that bug me until I find out what it is.
Thumbs up
Watching in 2021 🚚
The only state I've heard you say you don't like is the one I'm from.☹ Still enjoy ur videos
YUM-YUM I like cookies to
I google mapped your route. You traveled about 1875 mile from start to finish...
Sounds like u have a turn signal light out. U can tell how fast the flashers r working.

He had no seatbelt on as that cop drove by :-)
Travel Plaza's are normally full, you got lucky.
I guess I'm lucky I never got into the Starbucks craze. I don't like flavored coffee, lattes, frappuccino or any of Starbucks offerings. This is not a commercial for Folgers, but the dark roast fine grind Black Silk is my go to coffee. I suspect that has saved me a huge bundle over the years. And if I happen to be caught out and without my coffee maker the "new" McDonalds coffee floats my boat. Strong isn't the right word and bold sounds wrong, but I like coffee that tastes like coffee. It needs to be hot, black and address you with authority. Each to his own.

I actually like Mc Donalds coffee better than Starbucks. It is Starbucks Frappuccinos that I like.
Have you ever considered doing a transborder load to Canada? I know the truck stops are few and far in between and not as good
still not got your turn signal sorted yet Jack?
Hey, jack have you ever done any loads going through glacier national park in Montana? Or up near Kalispell, MT? And if so was it a hard road to drive a big truck like that?
I have a question if you can answer please , what reward card or fuel card you prefer , do you stay in hotel rooms on your 36 hrs or make I them on time ? lol
Great trip Jack. Why would a load of sugar for SC have to come all the way from Montana? We have tons of sugar here in Florida just down the road. Pete
Do you float your gears or double clutch?
Where in Columbia, South Carolina is the cookie company, cause I (Timothy DeRocher) use to live in Columbia, South Carolina
In my travels I only found the Venti size coffee in America. None of the other countries in the world carried the "Venti" size coffee...Europe, Africa, Asia, or Australia. At McDonalds in Australia the coffee automatically came with cream unless you asked for it to be black?
At 3:00, can you imagine the wear on brake shoe pads after driving through a sandy area?
Smokey went by you not what I said earlier lol
JACK HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED AT WAWAS ON THE EAST COAST GREAT CONV STORE AND ALWAYS HAVE BIG TRUCK PARKING !!

+Jim Jurena most truck stop chains (ta,pilot, flying j) if you buy 50 gallons of fuel or more you get a free shower. otherwise yes you need to pay a small fee.
Hi Indiana Jack. I have been watching your videos online. I like them very much. Very adventurous. Can you help for making me a sucessfull U.S truck driver , though I am not from U.S ?
I've noticed you always haul van trailers, have you ever hauled flatbed and if so b-trains as well?
How do you decide where to park?
Whoa!!! Did you fly into that service plaza or what?? Good thing nobody was walking across, because you had no time to slow down at all.

Would help to know total miles and estimate thru each state. Give a person total miles each trip then an idea of truck stop rating 1-5 star. An idea about MT passes
