Jack if you see Aussie tourists they will be the ones driving at you on the left. You guys are spoilt in the US and Canada with great roads, Truck Facilities and even the rest stops are spot on.

On 6-27- 2015, I was here, I had the worst headache of my life. I couldn't drive anymore. It was so hot, I came really close to calling 911 to come and get me. I couldn't stop throwing up, I had a migraine headach. A trucker told me the barometric pressure and the heat may have caused it. I'm from Georgia, so I am use to the heat but I had never experienced heat like this before. low humidity, sore throat, it felt like I was in an oven. I know ppl will laugh but it really changed me. we don't realize sometimes how sick our bodies can make us. I love this state though! Beautiful!

Utah is a beautiful State.

Through the eighties, I was stationed in southern New Mexico (Alamogordo), and the (then) wife was from Ogden. Took that Gallup/Cortez/Moab trip many times to visit the grandparents. Thanks for the memories.

I was born in Logan, UT.... Been to Moab Mtn. biking a few times in my life....Will be nice to run a truck through in the future running some loads.... Nice scenery....Gotta love those fast unloads...Very cool shot trailer tipper to offload those tires...

Waited till the end and what do you know..surprise surprise, golly gee Gomer that was sure a fast and nifty way to empty a tire trailer. Kind of reminds me of my morning routine with the Cheerio box.

I'd seen grain haulers put on lifters like this and dumping it's contents,so gravel and other stuff,Jack your camera work is the best ,no one ever done such a great footage of a truck on the road,and showing us every angle,,,,one suggestion though,,one on top of back doors,to see who tailgates,lol

Moab is a trucker's nightmare on a weekend. Almost every weekend Moab has some event going on and it will be bumper to bumper traffic through the small town. There is Easter weekend of Jeepers. You have a gigantic car show the last Saturday of April. Then there is the bicycle riders and sightseers. I feel sorry for truckers driving through town. The car show in the evening the hot rods are dragging main and I wonder if truckers wonder if this is how it is every weekend in this town. Well, it pretty much is. Moab is a great destination place with great national parks i.e. Arches, and Canyonland. So the best time to visit is after the end of October and before April. keep on Truck'in.

Hi Jack, Beautiful scenery! I used to deliver out to the Schreiber Cheese plant in Logan, UT. and then run up to ID. to load spuds and then back to WI. As far as that air leak goes, check the clutch fan, you can hear it when standing outside in front of the grille. I suppose the old black "rubbers" on the glad hands have been replaced with the new poly-plastic red and blue ones. But check them every time you change trailers, because a cracked or flat one will loose a lot of air. Loss of power sounds like a fuel pump or injector acting up, also the turbo, but you just had that done. Good luck and keep it safe, love your videos!

Jack, Us 6 is definitely a road to keep you eyes open on. I hauled steel and crush cars, for 20years over that road. It's a lot nicer since they put in the passing lanes. A dynamite truck blew up in the Narrows behind me about thirty minutes after I went by the spot. Used to be a dynamite plant a the mouth of the canyon. Summer is always bad, because of all the recreation vehicles and their boats coming and going to Lake Powell. Stay safe. keith

The first place I would check is the line from the compressor to the air dryer. Then the lines to your brake pots maybe the airbags to your cab. Spray soapy water on the compressor it self. Just did it all to my pete works good now.

A note about US 6: A tanker driver had a student take over driving. The driver himself had just laid down to get some sleep. The student was tired as well and was driving too fast. The tanker flipped and exploded. Both survived thank goodness. The highway was closed for quite a while in order to be redone. It was a big enough story that it was in the Sacramento Bee. I think it happened in 2005.

I remember when US-491 was US-666. There used to be a KOA in Montecello; I camped there a couple of times. That Ute Mountain casino's flashing lights are visible from Cortez at night. --Bob

Soapy water in a spray bottle will help find air and natural gas leaks. If you spray it at all the fittings it may blow bubbles where the leaks are. It will also clean your glasses.I use Ivory dish liquid

Thank you for the video. I used to ride with my ex til he traded me in for a newer model and I Really miss the going. We went on that Gallup to salt lake run many times. Next time you go try the Ute Mountain Casino. Great food and people. If you look to the west of casino you will see sleeping Ute mtn, which looks like and in legend is a giant Indian, sleeping. When you go thru Shiprock, read some of Tony Hillermans mysteries like Coyote Waits. He wrote about 15 books akk set around Shiprock and all the sets in books are there if you look. Lot of fun to read and see the trading post quick trips, chapter houses etc. Chapter houses are sorta like Grange halls in Indiana, social meeting places.just as you cross into Colo. a few miles east are nationals monuments too. Get the triple AAA Indian Country map. You can see lots from road, no lost time if you know where to look. Things not in your rand McNally, lol. Thanks again. UTE is an Indian tribe, that has reservations throughout CO. and UT. Hiway 89, and Interstate 70 passes through their reservations.

When you did that unload of the trailer on the hydraulic lift, it reminded me of a video I saw where besides the trailer, that actually let the driver leave his rig attached to the trailer and then they lifted both up into the air, and it was really high too, I know thaT it probably would have been against regualtions, but I would have given anything to be able to stay in the truck while they lifted it up on the hydraulic ramp, that probably would have been a errie sensation being raised up in the air at that angle that I saw........

Ultraslow damn near gets you there alive and on time.

Think of the fun we could have with that tipper machine.

I have always love the Navagation systems that you truckers have inside your rigs, I know that for truckers they are totally different than the one like what I have for my vehicle a typical Tom-Tom, I dont know if this would be possible or not, but I would give anything if there would be any possible way that you could show me what your navagation system looks like just so I can compare it to the one I have, Thank you so very much, and please be safe out there

Ute is an Indian tribe. Pahute is another Indian tribe. Pahute is pronounced Pie-Ute. I think there is a Ute reservation in southern Colorado. That speed trap in Monticello is usually always on the south side of town. There is a hole worn in the side of the road, where the cop car always sits. It is at the bottom of a curvy grade into a creek bed as you leave town headed south, or come off the hill into town headed north. South of Monticello there used to be an 11% grade on US Hwy 191. I like to drive at night to avoid the tourists. Monument Valley is chock full of those idiots. I was coming down US 163, and some idiot was standing in the middle of the highway taking pictures.

Hay jack I have been watching you go form Gallup to salt lake I live over in the 4 corners have family that have home steadied over by the truck stop by the ute mountain the mountain to the left of the truck stop is called the sleeping ute from a ways off if you look ate the mountain it's looks like a sleeping giant laying down I in joy the video

When I go to southern Utah, I take a back road (McElmo Canyon) out of Cortez west to Utah. The only way I know I have crossed the state line (no signs) is that the road improves!

Jack you need to get on of those drones DJI Phantom 2 + check them out they are incredible or a Handheld Stabilizer for GoPro HERO 3 (2-Axis) gimbal We all know you love gadgets I found one in eBay for just $199 from China and let me tell you it work beautifully just like a 20 K glide cam .
