You've made stupid assumptions. You've done no research on the location. If you had you'd quickly realise it's the most drone worthy location for miles around. Stick 'Lindisfarne' into Wikipedia, then into a Google Image search. Then do a news search for the articles about a stranded Uber driver and Holy Island, which interviewed the drone operator. Who was unsurprisingly there for the castle you'd see if you stuck Lindisfarne into Google Image search like I suggest. And then please shut up.

Because it's a road to Holy Island. 😅
How stupid of that driver!
People just underestimate tides, on average 1 car a month gets stranded, I live on an estuary with sandbanks and dog walkers are always being rescued, people not used to being near the coast just don't realise how fast a tide can come in, they also expect the tide to come in from the direction of the open sea, but it's the opposite on Holy Island, the incoming tide actually hits the far end of the road next to the mainland first, that's why they have to stop at the shelter as the last section of road is the deepest.

A coastal island near where I grew up had a very popular place for surf fishers ... extensive sandbars at one end that were all or mostly exposed at low tide. Of course, a few deeper channels that you'd have to wade through to get out to the bars farthest out. There were plenty of accidents when the fishermen (too late) decided it was time to get back and turned to see they now had a significant incoming tide and deep channels to cross. Most would make it and count themselves lucky they only lost all their gear. Of course, the area had all sorts of warnings and anyone fishing out there usually had heard all the stories ... but still it happened.

For those people who don't know about this place or where it is 1) it's a causeway to the holy island of Lindisfarne off the East Coast of the UK with a population of about 180 people. 2) it's not a bridge but a causeway it's too expensive to build a bridge or raise the causeway. 3) The person you see coming down the stairs was actually a passenger in the car, he was seen emerging from the car at the 1.28 minute mark. No one lives there it's a refuge for idiots like this driver to either embarass themselves by phoning the RNLI or waiting for the tide to fall.

Stupid is as stupid does.
A rabbi, a Catholic priest, and a buddhist monk walk up to a river. The rabbi looks at the water, steps onto it, and walks across effortlessly. The priest is shocked. The monk takes a look and then also walks across the water. The priest is in awe of this miracle. He takes a deep breath, closes his eyes, steps and //*splash*//sinks right into the river. The monk looks at the rabbi and says, "Did you forget to tell him where the stepping stones were?"
Imagine have a family living on the shore and your children in that car giving food to you (who with a phone watching movies and booze and pizza) 3 times a day. Only going to shore once a week.
If the video at the end was the top of the tide then the car is probably ok. He was also safe in the shelter. No need to involve rescue services.

the cab driver shouldn't of attempted crossing the bridge
This is the Holy Island causeway in Northumberland UK.The road gets completely submerged to 4 to 6 feet of water, and high tides can come up unexpectedly. The road is a mile through the sea and two miles around the island. A cybertruck has a wade mode that allows it to cross 3ft of water which is on par with the Land Rover Defender. A Ford Ecosport can wade 1.7 ft of water. Around 10 people a year get stuck on the causeway and call in emergency services.
Came here from tom scott trivia question
“Uber passengers hate him! Click to find out why!”
I’ve been to Holy Island a couple of times. Beautiful island! I have watched the water come over Cribbs Causeway and trust me, the tide comes in quicker than you think. The danger signs and tide times are there for a reason. It’s unbelievable the risks people take with not only their cars, but their lives as well.
