    Ehh I guess there could be but glacial melt is usually pretty pure as it's the source of a lot of creeks and mountain water. Probably still worth purifying since the ablation period might be gross but to each their own, I'd trust this water a lot more than most water sources found lower down.

    For those that don't know, this is basically what tap water is in the city of Anchorage Alaska! The city uses the glacial lake of Eklutna Glacier as its reservoir and the tap water is often higher quality than most bottled water available in the city!
