    Straight and to the point. Questions answered. No fluff about the history of the impact driver and its inventors. lol. Thanks.

    I would have demonstrated how the Impact Driver can use 'Impact' sockets to undo wheel nuts on a car (something the drills cannot do). Great video. Cheers.

    An impact driver is not the same a an impact gun. Impact guns are high torque wrenches. An impact driver is not made for that, it's for driving in lag bolts into wood and things like that.

    So the hammer drill does all the jobs of a normal drill plus drilling into bricks....why need a normal drill?

    Believe it or not, there is such a thing as "too much drilling power". The hammer drill will be fine.... the material you are drilling could be another story.

    @@robertojbenitezbeauchamp3793 but...can't I just adjust down the gear/torch number of the hammer drill? And the cost is cheaper than buying one hammer drill and one driver...unless you believe you never need to drill into bricks

    I bought a 1/2 drive impact cordless 18 volt and it came qith a battery and charger for 99$ and now both my driving daughters change their own tires and run their jacks up with the same socket. Tell me any other brand that can do that for 99$ and I bought them around 2018 an another around 2020 and they are both still changing tires fast! Ryobi could literally save your child by cutting the time down on the side of the road for 99$ think about that.

    Please tell me you meant RYOBI Impact WRENCH for lug nut changes, right? For proper torque range for auto/RV lug nuts, I personally use the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless 3-Speed 1/2 in. Impact WRENCH w/ a 4.0 Ah battery. Going on two years of much and flawless use. I personally would not trust what you appear to be implying as a RYOBI Impact DRIVER being used by your daughters for lug nut R&R. Hope I read things wrong.

    I hope you don’t mean that your daughters are driving out of torque spec on the road… a wheel can come off and kill some one!

    By name alone I use to think an “impact” driver does what a hammer drill does. Why I was confused if I needed one. Seems silly a decade later 😅.

    sounds like the hammer drill makes regular drill worthless?

  • @johnhyout
    @johnhyout8 ай бұрын

    An impact wrench deserves far better explanation to understand it's application. The reason it's call an "impact" wrench it's because it basically emulates a regular wrench being hit by a hammer at very high speed so it's main application is to loosen down and tighten up bolts and screws. Using a drill and hammer drill is virtually the same, the hammer is basically an additional feature on the tool, no need to own both, just buy the drill with hammer feature, and if you want the real thing then buy a SDS plus/max rotary hammer; far superior.

    Uh yeah, this is across the board for KZread. You'll not find dislikes on any videos. Most people suspect it was because the bigger content creators on YT, companies like Disney and NBC, were getting their content mercilessly "ratioed" (where dislikes were WAY higher than likes) whenever they put out stuff the masses didn't like. They were getting embarrassed so their buddies at YT took away the source of their embarrassment. I doubt a company like RYOBI would have had this problem.

    RYOBI does not honor their warranty. Do not buy RYOBI if you are in HAWAII. You will be forced to ship to the mainland for service. I was quoted almost $200 shipping cost from UPS & USPS for my weed wacker that is still under warranty for the SLOWEST possible shipping. This means you are without the tool for weeks/months in addition to the cost, assuming they will even honor your claim.
