Nice to hear someone from the UK taking about it ..I find a lot of the Americans on these channels, well meaning but over the top ..No disresoect...Im 7 weeks sober after 35 plus years of weekend bibge drinking and recreationall drugs ,plus hokidays, vacations etc..Had the odd month off here and there but im 52 now the oain of hangovers and comedowns get worse amd worse for me, and the fall out affects with the people i love etc, bot to mention wasted money , days off wirk etc...Hust cancelled a long plan weeejemd away to liverpool because i dont want to drink...A few friends have taken it personally thinking its about them but i got to look after myself ..Fed up of being on the hanster wheel, life is so much better already and more productive after only 7 weeks ! Thanks maye great video ! I trued AA and CA and the 12 steps hated it prrsonally most of the people i know that attend it aeem to relapse ? Thought it was dated nonsence tbh...Anyway im having these dresms a lot where i wake up and really think ive just been drinking they are so vivid ?
It's been 2 years being clean. Its my first time being so sober my entire adult life. I used for years until I had a heart valve infection. I don't want to die, so I could never go back. I still have these dreams here and there, and I always am surprised, bc I think, 'well, Iam so past that, that was weird to dream about.' So I guess they don't bother me too much!
Thanks for this post! I’ve been clean over a decade and last night I had 2 dreams that woke me up in a cold sweat . I didn’t use in the dreams but I felt like I was high on speed which I’ve only done a handful of time with h ( my doc) . I used to have vivid dreams about shooting up and crazy dreams about needles with smiles on them. Weird wild stuff.

This happened to me last night, my dream was of my using in the rest room n my cousin walking in on me using..i have been sober from using for years
It definitely feels real
Last night I had a dream someone offered me drugs, but this time I was aware of it. At first, I had purchased the weed, but then I remember wait a min you suppose to stay sober for many reasons. I quickly went to that man and asked for my money back. Apparently in the dream I needed my money more lol. I almost thought he wouldn’t give me my money back lol but I got it back. What that part is all about is the fact that I wasted so much money in weed. I prolly could have close to 15,000 saved from the use over the last years. Thank you for this video because it something I’m familiar with every time I tried to stay sober.
This is some really good advice man thanks!
I had a dream that I was drinking vodka (I never drink vodka, I only bought tequila) also i am on a medicine that makes me not feel the effects of alcohol. Anyway, in this dream, I kept taking shots and by the 3rd I thought “am I dreaming? This has to be a dream” I took the 3rd shot and I felt the burn in my throat and then my chest and then thought “oh no this is very real” as I was hoping that the 3rd one would hit since I was on my medicine. I was pouring up a 4th as I was thinking in my brain “I’m only going to drink this one time..” I woke up almost crying. I’ve never had such an intense and surreal relapse dream before

6months and 1 week sober as of yesterday tho ((:
I hsve been having these, i am 3-4 years clean from using, 6 months clean from everything. I randomly have nightmares about using opioids. I am completely sober now! Why is this happening
Man thank you sooo so much you helped me A LOT I was thinking about relapsing on Opioids and this helped me understand I’m stronger than ever! Why would I do that to myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥹 God bless you man. Sending you lots of love and light
This was very helpful, thank you
Thank you Chris.
I just wanted to know why I feel guilty after such dreams even that I know it is not real, and why also I am having those dreams and you gave me exactly what I needed. Thanks a lot for the video 👍
Good stuff!
Are you playing the guitar in the closing music? Just curious. Another great video, Chris. I am 21 months alcohol free & have not relapsed or dreamed of doing so but the risk is real so it's great that you covered this here 👍

I'm not, that's just a stock track I found but I do have plans eventually to change that whole ending thing and record something I wrote to put in there :) It's good going that you've not had any relapse dreams, I hope it stays that way for you! I've had quite a few about drinking over the years, and even had one about smoking as recently as last week..I think that's the first, or one of the first smoking dreams I've had.
Do you have to be considered a recovered alcoholic in order to have a relapse dream?

No. When you crave it you'll probably dream about it. Even if your still using because sleep lasts hours and that's hours without a drink.
