Like you said it is a Cadillac for crafters, but for most crafters it costs as a Cadillac. For me is a dream box, that I can only dream with. T4s

Those pens are to be filled with water and you dabb them on the dry water color pallettes or can even use them on acrylic. You are so lucky to have a large enough place for your dreambox.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour of your Dreambox. Those skinning silverware dividers are another great catch all for craft supplies (plastic version of a Velveeta box). I'm the same with zippers, I have a nice stash of thrifted & re-cycled zippers, I found a stack of 2 dozen or more for 5 dollars (new) at a yard sale this past summer. (I just couldn't pass on that. lol) If those Dreamboxes had came out 25 years ago I would have definitely bought one. I'm happy with my craftroom set up after tweaking things through the years, it works really well for me and my needs, it has thrifted cabinets and some cabinets bought just for crafts in mind, as well as some DIY pieces that fit my room and all the different crafts I do. It's great that such cabinets are on the market now for crafters!

I agree! It IS an awesome design but I certainly wouldn't buy one if I was happy with my set up just as you are! The purpose is well-thought-out organization and you've achieved that on your own!

You are just great at this! Sure wish we loved the same crafts…but you have been so very helpful despite the fact I am only now a card maker. Yet, our similarities in amassing sale items, prior craft leftovers (sewing, quilting, jewelry making, minimal embroidery, keeping “cute” food containers and on and on) makes your Dream Box video so very helpful!! I kept plethora of notes. Hoping to order by end of the year. Loved your prior videos on DB as well. Your help very much appreciated!!

What a lovely comment to wake up to this morning! Thank you, Cheri! I think the behavior we have in common is just a side effect of crafting in general! Creative minds see potential in EVERYTHING! Ha! Heads up that there will be sales for the holidays) Black Friday through Christmas. I'll update my sale codes in the description box of this video as they're released!

I have several stations in my craft room, Paper/Card Making/Scrapbooking which is were my main area *don't do scrapbooking either*, Beading/Jewelry station which has my cross stitching included, Library for all my magazines and books. I want to add a Sewing Station, I am saving up for the Smaller Dream box for the Sewing. I have a lot of Ikea cubes and love them. I would love to learn how to use my Circuit some day. These videos give me ideas thank you for showing everything. Be safe and continue what you do best

I'm so glad it was helpful on some level! Big hint: when you decide to buy, wait for the major sales. Black Friday is the biggest but there are also other great sales during major holidays. Oh... and the discount codes are necessary then, too, and they change with every major sale so be sure to check the description boxes of current videos!

I loved the tour! Thank you! I also have all my stuff organized in "departments" and repurpose cool containers/materials from elsewhere. My supplies and tools stay in a walk-in closet (one side for tools the other for materials). I love scraps of fabric, even the tiny crumbs. I love foundation paper piecing and I find I can use little odd-shaped scraps for that. I organized them by color inside clear plastic shoe boxes. I love walking in the closet and seeing my rainbow "wall" of fabric. My yarn is in a tall "shoe" container, which works so well. I could close the container, but i leave it open so I see my rainbow "wall" of yarn when I walk in. I collected a crazy amount of stuff in the short-ish time I've been crafting (about 6 years), mostly at thrift stores and Amazon . Oh, in the actual craft room, I have 3 bookshelves that display my favorite trinkets and books that inspire me (you know Marie Kondo's joy? That's a "wall" of joy!!!). I can put away my craft supplies/tools in the closet, and the room becomes a guest room. But, I haven't been successful with that plan with the last guests we had because I was sewing them bowl cozies and couldn't have them ready before their visit 😆 Anyway, I'm really happy in that space :)

I also crochet, and it is so relaxing while watching tv when I have some down time, I am working on a dbl basket weave (lionshead color verigated) squares to make a king size blanket. I made a scarf out of this pattern and ow wow it is warm.

I am not into card making or scrapbooking either. I tried them, but like you, knitting, crochet and sewing. My supervisor at work used those cardboard cones and hot glued faux fur around it to make Christmas trees. They are adorable. My mother just gave me a bag full of antique linens (granny square afghan, a quilt top and a flapper dress). I posted it on my channel. The flapper dress was sewn by my great grandmother and she hand sewed all of the beads and sequins onto it. The quilt top is backed by old sugar sacks.

Hi Margaret! Thank you so much for taking us on a tour of your dreambox. I love little bits and pieces and confess I tend to keep a lot too. I love going to thrift shops and have a little story for you. I live in Canada but I am close to the Washington state border. Last year my friend and I stopped at a thrift store just north of Seattle and I came upon some crochet thread, 2 spools (wrong word but can't think what else to call them) that still had the original JC Penney receipt from April 14, 1946.....price was 26 cents. Of course I had to buy them! Price tag showed 99 cents but when I went to pay for it I was only charges 79 cents.....what a deal! I keep it on display in my craft room. Anyway, back to your video.....I always wondered what you kept in all your containers and now I know. Really enjoyed hearing little stories about a lot of the items. Thanks again for sharing!

As I was cleaning and digging out my Thanksgiving dishes, I also realized how much 'junk' I've got to get rid of if we're ever going to downsize to move. I got to thinking...a dreambox would be a perfect one piece bit of furniture to replace the myriad of hutches, cupboards and catch all carts I've got for everything. Small holiday decor (candlesticks, candles, tea candles, ugh!) Not to mention the odds and ends of small dishes I have and use (but do I really need a serving for 12 when it's just the two of us?). It would be a great thing to have in a small sized house to organize all those things you don't use all the time, but don't want to haul out of cupboard upon cupboard. I may have to put this on my long term dream list.

Now that I have this for crafts, I've been thinking about all the other handy uses for it, too! Ha! And speaking of dishes... my friends and I are stuck with all this expensive china and holiday dishes as none of our kids want that stuff. China isn't even on their wedding registries these days!

Hi Miss Margaret! I can only dream of being as organized as you are in that Dreambox, as it is out of my price range. I enjoyed the tour of yours though. As for why I craft, I have no idea, but I have had the desire to make things as long as I can remember. I blame how my brain works for my preferences to create all things dimensional - crochet, knitting, jewelry and hand sewn pieces with purpose, vessels of all sorts. In my mind, everyday objects can become raw materials for something artistic as well as useful. Blessings to you and yours. Stay well.

Also, when do you have the time to work on your projects when you’re as active as you are in your community that you moved into? What sewing machine would you recommend for a beginner? I only need one to sew a straight line to close up fabric for pillows.

It's amazing to you that I still have this much stuff?!? Oh gosh... now I feel bad! Well, wait... When I showed donation piles, those weren't just from crafts. We were cleaning out the whole house for downsizing! And as far as my current time goes, my crafting time lately is taken up with video editing! Especially the Gift Ideas... goodness that's taken over a week and I'm still not through! Sewing machine? There are so many good ones out now. A quick Google search for "best sewing machine for beginner" will give you some guidance. I haven't had a chance to try out the options like those people have!

Is there a pattern that you can get like you have for the front of all your drawers or did you just make them yourself. I just received my dreambox and can’t wait to start using it

I downloaded cut files for my Silhouette machine from their Facebook group. I can’t remember what other files were there but that’s where I’d start looking.

"What is my purpose in creating?" That's such a good question. I would like to explore that question. Thanks for your video, showing the Dreambox, and the sources you included. They are all very useful.

"What is my purpose in creating?" I have no earthly idea why I started creating in the first place but I HAVE learned some of the benefits it brings me!

@@sheepishlysharing Why did I "start" creating? Because I could use so many of the things I already had to make something practical and useful. Those things I made brought me "benefits." So, I'm right there with you on that. My reasons for creating now are definitely different. I create because I like to do it. I love seeing the finished projects and I feel satisfaction. I enjoy giving and blessing those around me with my creations. I'm so very grateful for my ability to create. "No matter our situation, showing gratitude for our privileges is a unique, fast-acting, and long-lasting spiritual prescription. Simply stated, 'In every thing give thanks' (1 Thessalonians 5:18)." It’s all done on the website as far as I know. I imagine you could call them if need be. How much it is depends upon the features you choose. Go look on the website to see how it’s done but don’t buy anything until 11/20 at 11:00 MST! That’s when the discounts start!

  • @MommyRamblingsBlog

That looks great however, it is so pricey and everything is extra. It seems quite over the top for most crafters like myself. I am in desperate need of an organizing system but this is just plain out of reach. Are you working with the company? I have looked in your video description but do not see you disclose that and yet this looks like a sponsored video. I am not saying anything is wrong with that and as a blogger/vlogger I have worked with many companies. Believe me, if they offered me a Scrapbox for promotion, I would be right there. However, on its own, it is out of reach. My oldest son died suddenly on May 6th and crafting has been an outlet. However, I am super stressed with a way to store all my stuff. So now, in order to craft, it is usually overwhelming to find all my stuff and I am always missing something that I just gibe up and check out. I wish they had something that was like this but more affordable. It is not even like the materials are good wood or anything. I guess I love the idea but not the price.

This isn’t a sponsored video but I do make a small commission from the use of my links and it IS stated in the description box. I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had such a great loss. I’m sure you payed over $4,000.00 for that box. I think is too expensive and probably is not real wood.
