again, it would have been nice to have the original character and the art they made side by side to better see how close they got, instead of having to search it on google myself. Nice video besides this

That Sister of Battle is freaking sick. I’m imagining her being an Inquisitor who was formerly among the Sororitas thanks to her artificer armor and what looks like an archaeotech pistol to complement that flamer.

You guys should totally do Trazyn The Infinite and Ghazghull Mag'Uruk Thraka for your next Warhammer characters! I feel like you would have a really fun time with them! As a Warhammer fan it's really fun to see other artists branch out and find the universe. It's also really really cool to see a perspective from someone that is still learning so much about it. Your perspectives have reminded me of when I first got into the lore and it's fun to see new and unique interpretations! Keep up the awesome work!

My only critique for the Sororitas is the necklace, it should've been the Aquila. Other than that, straight-up looks like your typical Sister. And I still hope one of these days you show them what the character actually looks like after they've done it.

I don’t think they’re warhammer Fans so I don’t think they’d know what that means. Also that symbol is copyrighted (that probably won’t matter too much but could have influenced the decision)

I love how detailed the Warhammer character descriptions are. Just like with part 1, it's really cool how complex and sometimes paradoxical their personalities are compared to their looks (like with the Great Unclean One). Almost makes me want to read some Warhammer stuff, but I'm not super into stories with a lot of fighting and strategy.

It's hard to avoid fighting in the books, but I'd say that "The infinite and the divine" might be something that's worth a look if you are wanting to try out a book that is different from the usual stuff from warhammer

Some of the inquisitor series by Dan Abnett are much less focussen on fighting. The Eisenhorn series starts with Xenos. Abnett is GW's best author by far.

Oh yes, Magnus and Sister Sororitas. Oh yeah, that sister came pretty damn close too, looks very good, especially the face thing, but she might have seen one at some point, so that helps. You gotta do more of these, and then also look at some of the original artwork after all so you can see how they compare and we can see your reaction to that.

I just love how you take the descriptions and jump straight in with full enthusiasm. You are embracing the grim and concepts, but also the silly and over the top parts of Warhammer. Really professional and creative! Great work!

As an artist who draws and sketches out space marines this put a smile on my face. Also I laughed at the magnus the red drawing because it was so good it was hilarious. Amazing work

That Magnus piece is absolutely breathtaking, it fits so well with the Egyptian vibe he and his legion has, there's daemonhood but also distinctly a thinking person. I almost wish he was depicted more like this

The Magnus one is great. Being a shapeshifter, there's no reason why he couldn't look just like that.

The Battle Sister looks phenomenal. Love my Sisters: easily one of my favourite factions

You don't even imagine how cool it is for someone who knows the lore since like 15 years to see how you two reimagine the characters from the scratch, without previously seeing the design. That's super cool, because it brings some fresh air and you feel like falling into an alternative universe.

"I decided to make her look less Warhammer and more original." And the result is almost 100% what the Sororitas look like in Warhammer. Lmao

That Battle Sister redesign is great. Would be really interesting to now look at some of the original art and evolve this design with some of the key elements of canonical Sororitas - the backpack, the Imperial iconography, the 40K flamer design. Definitely leave out the silly 40K boob fleurs-de-lis, though…

Great rendition of of a sister of battle, magnus was cool to see as a primarch w a heavy xenos vibe.

These are probably more accurate than a lot of the in-universe depictions of Heresy-era characters.

I wish they had more vague, poetic descriptions of the characters from books instead of literal descriptions. It would have left far more room for creative interpretation, and it would have been really cool to compare how unique they came out.

The second she goes 'LIKE, LESS WARHAMMER' I just rolled my eyes into the back of my heaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

The only thing missing from the battle sister is the power pack on the power armour to really nail the look, but I think it was also missing from the description so cant failt the artist.

I would love to see so manay characters and troops from the 40K universe on this channel, but from the descriptions you could give of them, I would most love to see your interpretations of Gazghukul Mag Uruk Thraka, and Lord Commander Dante. The one thing I'd say you missed for Magnus the Red is his glorious long red hair.

Aside from the pure joy as a viewer to see that, I would have loved to have your own reactions and comments, as neophyte of war40K universe, to the original artwork of the characters you drew. I would love you to point out what original art doesn't fit written descriptions, or where your skills drifted and all, to reflect on how artists can make very different depictions of the same thing, and light us up about the thought process behind it. (because that's one thing I always wondered about, since Lords of the Rings bonus video, on how artists went back and forth to create the uruk hai designs Peter Jackson wanted, lol : how DOES an artist's mind work ?)

One little thing that would make it a bit better in my opinion would be, if you would show a comparision at the end between your drawings, and the official Games Workshop Artworks, so people that might not be too familar with the Warhammer Universe could still see, how close to the original your drawings acutally are. You should try to draw Obi-Wan Sherlock Clousseau. A character canon to Warhammer: 40k. He was the first named Inquisitor.

Jill Bearup reviews armor as well, and is really entertaining to watch. If you've heard of her, it would likely be because one of her armor ranks is, "Just stab me now," for armor that is not practical and also doesn't look particularly good. (edit, thanks for the correction, @red5_skywalker)

for the LORE fiend you got in, the word cyclopean that is used to describe magnus in many books dose just mean one eye not in the centre of the head like cyclops's, and the detailed description states where the eye should be its smooth as if an eye was never there. a classic misunderstanding of English context like the word dwarf like if someone described themselves as a dwarf I would assume they are just short suffering from a disease that made them that way and not a mythological creature said to mine like crazy have dark vision and carry more load than 2 horses, especially when other descriptions ive heard of them specifically describe them suffering from dwarfism and not being a mythological creature.

Firstly, great video, I love the designs, I like how you leaned towards fantasy Secondly, I would just like to note that boob plate directing blows to the center of the chest would not be as much of a problem as some have betrayed it to be. It would only be a problem if the armor was made from crappy metal or was directly resting on the chest. Though if it was made from crappy enough metal The attack would more likely dent the boob plate than be redirected and stabbed through the armor. Also if it was resting directly on your chest, the fact that you can't breathe properly would kill you much faster than your opponent trying to burrow through solid steel. Most of the armor from the medieval period tapered down to the waist, if directing a blow into a crease of solid steel was actually causing issues. This design would not be so prevalent. Anyway, I just wanted to note that to try and dispel the myth, again great video I hope you do more Warhammer stuff. maybe some tyranids next time😊

@@boychowskibrothers You say that is if I do not also know someone who is well versed in the field, I did not come here to spread falsehoods nor start arguments, but my friend who is also well versed in the field as well as several experts I do not know personally but have shared the sentiment that boob plate if not pushed to an extreme can be more or less just as functional as traditional plate. That being said I'm just paraphrasing the sentiments of those I know with experience. I may have not properly represented their arguments or perhaps this is simply an argument in the field that has not come to a consensus. I would like to apologize for my assumption of ignorance and I would kindly ask that you do the same, please
