I know its curated for KZread content but I really feel like Jazza is a good boss. It seems like he is so eager to help his staff really grow and does his best to put them in situations that challenge them, but doesn’t set them up to fail and is always willing to support them, but also step back when necessary. I’m so happy that super talented artists like Alesha and the rest of the crew are working for him because they are obviously flourishing- I mean, Alysha is SO much more confident in front of the camera now, and its honestly awesome to get to know her as she shows more and more of her personality. Anyway, Insert Sentimentality lol. *Corrected to spell Alysha’s name correctly, apologies for misspelling it before!!

My anxiety started rising when Jazza was naming all the hats animators wear as I’m the sole creator on my series. It’s SO much work, and now I’m making a tutorial video to teach my nephew how to color in csp so I can hire him and lighten the load a little bit… So much work.

I’m a designer in a large company and this video resonates so much with the world I live in. Talking through and finding the common vision is always a struggle when designers work together the first time. Learning the art of asking questions to tell your story helps connect other’s experience to your ideas as well. Also, thanks Dave!

Thank you so much, Dave! Seriously, I appreciate and respect so much of what the Jazza channels do. In this video I'm calling out that you not only use but highlight that you used something you know is controversial, you shared that the process was hard and there is pain involved, AND that Jazza, you value things like relationship and the project above 'your way'. This last is a tremendous example of healthy leadership and crucial for productive partnerships. Being able to work through the hard (Alysha) and come up with something fabulous is a testament to you all. Respect.

Dave, Dave, the true artist of our time! Im reallt appreacistinf seeing a realistic side of content creation, as well as collaboration creation. I am absolutely a sensitive person and tend to get a little precious about my ideas, especially when it revolves game design - but effective communication, even when it's hard, especially with clients is so needed. I find it hard to remember not to take anything personally even! You two are so talented, and work so well together even when it's hard. I would personally love more videos about these. Not that im wishing for conflict, but more how you, as professionals, work through it!

I love seeing more behind the scenes type stuff like this. I'd be interested to see you go into a true freelancer vs. client situation: going from budget negotiation, project brief, scope breakdown, milestones, etc. - but that might be too much for a general audience thing. Love seeing you two collab in these. The only nitpick that took me out of the cinematic was the way the camera moves into the castle. It looks like it pushes into a dead spot in the middle of the image, rather than somewhere with more visual interest, like the main building.

I love this video format, I said it in the last one where Jazza was directing Morgan for character designs, but to see the actual behind the scenes go-between between artist and art director or artist/client is so invaluable to people aspiring to work in the industry. Often artists who do tutorial style videos will talk about the process but you never actually see the conversations, just what they take away from them, actually seeing how you work with a director is something I've never personally seen on KZread and I really wonder how much seeing this kind of content could have helped me during art school when I felt disheartened or struggled with criticism from my tutor. I think it's really going to help a lot of students and people just getting into the industry, and I hope to see more of it. Great job guys, quality content!

It’s really interesting how, I’ve been working in animation for more than 10 years now and I’ve been using resolve for 6 ish years, I can imagine making this animation in fusion pretty easily (I actually did something really similar last month) but the second I saw the after effect window, I was completely lost xD I can’t wait to see the finished product! Congrats Dave! You did an amazing job! (Also I’d recommend trying fusion for parallax effects, I love this word so much lol, the nodes make it really easy to understand the animation composition)

There is a great lesson to learn here from both sides - there are those that come from the 'old' world or style of doing things and then there is the 'new' world or style of doing things. There is nothing wrong with either process, BUT when you can come together and figure out a way to put egos to the side together you can create something truly wonderful. COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY!!! Frustration will be there, but put that to that to the side. When you're able to do that, you can LEARN and GROW. Great work on this!

Jazza isn't backward at pushing for what he wants, and I imagine working for someone like him to be challenging every day...but I didn't expect this video to go the way it did. That's really good. I can totally see how it can develop, with animated characters, movement in the skies like clouds and birds and flags waving, and then extra depth with infinite horizons peppered with buildings and mountains. Great work everyone! I love this kind of stuff. As a generalist, I can do a little bit of everything on a mediocre skill level, but can't specialise in things without investing time and money I don't have to spare, so this video really spoke to me.

Come on an adventure with us... The way one scene changes to the next, reminded me of how Eyewitness (educational videos/books from the 1990's-early 2000's) did their animations, their intro to their videos, like the parrot soaring from one scene into the next. That animation was and still is well liked. Interesting to see how technology has made things easier, faster, but I like how some basics of preanimation still remains.

can i give an opinion ? i watch jazza videos almost every week, but this video feels new, like it is very educational and kinda podcast vibe talking about art animation stuff, and i find it was very helpful , like this type of education / behind the scene of animating stuff are rare to see in this platform. Maybe the views are not really great (because it was an educational purpose) but i really appreciate if you guys do more something like this, because this information are so valuable. Have a great day jazza and team !

EARLY FOR ONCE ❤ not gonna lie, the first few second caught me 😂 this is such a cool concept for a video. the "role-playing" of a director and animator is such a refreshing view. 7:18 i cant stop laughing at her confusing face and jazza is trying his darn hardest to explain what he imagined 😂 THE ANIMATION CAME OUT AMAZING!!! you both took such a journey and ended up with a masterpiece 🎉
