Congratulations to Ferrari and Lamborghini. As the Supercar representing ICE, you confidently and fairly won the tough battle against the SUV-sized Crossover EV. This was a great fight that showed that the ICE era is still alive and well, and a great challenge that will be recorded in history against the evil Crossover EV, which disguises itself as a family car and threatens our lives. Now we are very proud to tell you that you have been granted the right to own the sound of real meat.👏👏👏 And we will forever remember AMG and GT3, which lost ownership of the real meat sound after a tough war. RIP. Now who will be the next hero who will take on the challenge of reclaiming ownership of the Real Meat Sound? (Maybe Purosangue and Urus should stay hidden for the sake of their family's honor. 😂)

have you ever drove an SUV on a mountain pass or on a canyon road?, even in hyundai's own promotional video, the 5N is so understeery is absolutely a cringe to consider a 2.5 tons SUV as a sports car. Stick with what you see in this video, i.e. straight line acceleration, like all other EVs. p.s. ffs, it has twice more power than hot hatchbacks and couldn't beat any of the new ones on the nurburgring...and that's a high speed circuit not a curvy one; so, let's not invent capabilities for this EV SUV as physics cannot be cheated(for the moment).

@@JohnLee-db9zt if I am to believe the 5N was stock on the ring, then I also believe that the FL5, golf R and the megane RS were stock as well; don't skip the fact that the ring is a power and speed circuit and having in a car twice the power of manual hatchbacks but managing to not be faster than any of those is very very impressive. As for youtube journalists, I am not believing one iota of what they are saying as long as they are paid by hyundai and as long as early access equals big money fron them from viewes; isn't it strange that the extremely high praise on youtube is nowhere to be found in traditional automotive media?, sure, they say it is the best one of its kind but you don't see real journalists writing poems and eulogies about the 5N, like youtubers do. Why do you think that is happening?, suddenly, the real journalists are less able to judge a car?, or it is that youtubers, due to the nature of the business, must praise to the sky any new vehicle, being paid to do it as well as monetising the views from early access?!, just think for a minute.

Before you jump on my throat, I feel the need to point out that I am extremely happy Hyundai made the ionic 5 N, with the fake sounds and simulated gear shifts and rev limiter adding a lot of fun for combustion engine enthusiasts. Now, Tesla has gone a long way since the first Model S in 2012. The Model 3 showed in late 2017 massive improvements in thermal management allowing the car to do several laps without overheating. Improvements continued with the Model S Plaid since 2021 and now the new Model 3 performance. Yes, the Model S used to have a bunch of problems in assembly and quality. Same for pretty much every vehicle they made but keep in mind, every time they launch a new vehicle is a learning process. The Model S problems have been fixed. The Model 3 problems have been fixed. It's only a matter of time before the issues surrounding the Cybertruck, which are making big news right now, become a thing of the past. My advice is to update your assessment regarding Tesla vehicles breaking easily.

Comparing it back to back with the GT3 RS it’s not that much slower than the Porsche. The 5N also handles well and is fun to drive in the twisties. You can feel the weight but it hides it well, kind of like the R35 (I’ve owned two R35 GT-Rs in the past too, a 2009 and a 2013). It’s also really practical and easy to live with. Hyundai Motors initially lacked capital to invest in high-performance cars. Due to the Asian economic crisis in 1997, companies merged and grew in size, after which investment in high-performance cars became possible.
That was great, and I knew how quick the Ioniq 5 N was on paper, and from other reviews, but until now I didn't realise just how quick. I'd love to know some sort of 'value for dollar' scale, maybe something representing how much each 0.1 seconds cost for 1/4 mile & 0-100, for each car?' I really thought this video would begin with the Ioniq beating the first contender, then even around car 3 or 4 and ending with it losing impressively. And it makes me kind of chuckle that you would probably still win 3/4 of these with three passengers in the Ioniq.
Bloody fantastic mate! That little Hyundai is a beast. Fantastic viewing! More, more, more!

Excellent video. Very proud of the 5N. On a road red light start, it beats all of them. It is only when you get it to quarter mile where the 1.5M car can surpass it.

or when it needs to go fast on a mountain pass or on a back road; a monkey can drag a full automatic car; it takes real driving to know your car around corners but yeah, who notices you then?, acceleration at the lights is for simpletons who don't actually know how to drive.

Out of curiousity, how much charge was remaining in the battery after doing all those drag races with the Ioniq 5 N???
@CarExpertAus
14 күн бұрын
It's a little complicated because we had to mix some of the cars due to transport requirements. But each day the Ioniq 5 N would do about 30 launches across the 1/4 mile and then a set of roll race runs. In between shoots we'd also leave the battery conditioning running and kept the a/c on because it was hot sitting in the sit. The lowest it got each day was to around 80%. Most days it would be between 80-90% SoC.

Wow, that's just mind bending.
The look of the Hyundai is what makes it much more interesting. Beating the fastest cars in the world is nice. But please test against the chiron
Far less talking than Carwow. Love this!!
Wow, a lot of people are starting to realize they are overpaying a TON of MONEY for very little benefits. Each time, the launch is way better on the N... How many times are you going to use the top speed of these fancy cars vs how many times do you accelerate from a light or merge into the freeway? The N is amazing!!
@eugenux
