    Angie, thank you so much for this video. I am struggling with my new Amara with Pro-Stitcher-I keep running into the bar with each row. I think using this may be able to help me. Thank you for showing the screen and what each function does.

    These are very clear and easy to follow instructions. I've always used a tape measure and measure from the right frame to the quilt top and left frame to the quilt top make sure my quilt is lined up for basting but quilting space will be so much easier! I also love the drag and drop method using the vertical channel lock as well. Thank you so much!

    You are such a great instructor. You make everything make sense. Excellent video and I totally agree with the other comment about the zipper system. I can’t believe the two quilt stores I frequent had never heard of them..I gave them all the info as they do a lot of long arming for clients. This has changed my whole long arm game so much. Kudos to whoever figured this out. I did stitch grosgrain ribbon on each other half of the zippers so I wouldn’t be pinning into the leaders. I did a different color for each zipper. Just love this system so much and will not ever use any other method.

    Hi Marilyn, We do have an edge to edge video that comes with written instructions for the entire process! The video is on our website stores.longarmconnection.com/pro-stitcher-edge-to-edge-basics-class-on-usb/ and is $39.99 The video even covers how to fix a thread break and cropping out an edge to edge! The instructions are 28 pages. :)

    Thanks for showing a great use of the "Quilting Space" feature that came with the latest update. Love the pin in the quilted row tip, that is very helpful as I have rolled just a bit too far before and had to back up, this will help prevent that. I appreciate your sharing so much with us.

    I’m assuming that with a large quilt the quilting space gets smaller as the quilt is quilted and rolled up on the take up bar. How do you know when to reset? Every roll or less?

    I loved this video. Thank you. You asked for other things we want to know. On one of the prostitcher FB groups someone wanted an explanation for using Record and Mark for doing stitch in the ditch. I found one for using Trace Area to recommend but could not find one for Record/mark. What I was not sure of was if you use Record before and after mark or not. Would love your take on this. Once you have done that-how about "move"? Thanks again. I feel so much more confident. I still watch your zipper video each time I need to load a quilt-especially the squaring up video.

    @@angiesanswers91 Happy New Year. I'm working on my 4th or 5th custom quilt. I'm doing pretty well with the inside of the quilt but I can not understand borders. I've watched Kim Sandberg's video on fitting the first side and understand the use of align, area and border skew. Even with Simulator I can't figure out how to get the same size and spacing on the bottom that I used on the top. It just seems beyond my understanding. Can you help?

  • @angiesanswers91

    @angiesanswers91

    @@marilynt1 Happy New Year to you too!! Borders are very tricky and not all the same! I don’t do a lot of custom, I mostly do E2E. If I am going to custom then I use what you do the Area, Align and Skew. Make sure you DON’T Baseline after the skew. If you try to do a new Area, Align and skew at the bottom it won’t work. When you baseline a Skew, it locks those changes and size. Then if the new border at the bottom is slightly different the Pro cant Skew something that’s already been Skewed. Try that and let me know!

    Angie, I might have put my question on the wrong video by mistake. At the 1:30 mark, you show the top is wider in some areas than in other areas. How do you baste that area which is wider than the narrow parts?

  • @angiesanswers91

    @angiesanswers91

    2 жыл бұрын

    That makes more sense now!! I try my best to ease in that wider part of the top and keep it lined up on the black vertical line. This is a lot easier if you have poly batting with a little bit of a loft. That poly will help take up some of that “extra” fabric. If you have a Glide foot (the plastic cup foot) that also helps to move the top over and not have it tuck or fold. This is harder to do with a cotton or flat batting. Hope that helps!
