Third time listening picked up how a low Iron level can lead to the inability to produce 'feel-good' hormones, which could result in Anxiety/Depression, and how this links-up with having cravings for, and binge-eating of skillfully crafted processed products 'for a warm hug'. Significant also pointing out the role played by clotting factors in diseased states; as is for example highlighted by Neuroscientist David Diamond in connection with heart attacks. Something else to consider, is how exposure to EMF's influences blood viscosity: 'Causing blood to have the consistency of ketchup, instead of flowing like red wine'... (Cardiologist Steven Sinatra).

Gratitude to participants Keep up the excellent work I fully agree with the milk issue!!! Inflames the body First: Milk is breast inflammation With a determined time to be produced by the mother's body Unfortunately, we are the only people who drink milk as adults. Second: After the age of 8 we are unable to break down milk protein so that it can be absorbed effectively by the intestine

Thanks for the feedback - we talk more about the facts surrounding milk consumption in the Defeat Diabetes Low Carb Program. Here's an excerpt you might find helpful: "There are two different forms of the beta-casein protein in milk - A1 and A2. A lot of people can digest the A2 form but not the A1 form, which they find inflammatory. If you are experiencing inflammation symptoms such as regular involuntary sneezing, runny or itchy nose and eyes, skin blotches, rashes and/or eczema-like symptoms, then look closely at your dairy intake. If you suspect you’re intolerant to A1, speak to your doctor and consider drastically reducing your milk intake, changing to A2-only milk, or dropping it from your diet - at least on a trial basis. There are plenty of milk and cream substitutes out there such as soya milk and coconut cream which you can use in both tea and coffee respectively."

Previously ingestion of some vegetable seed oils were prescribed to organ transplant patients prior to their operations; in order to suppress the immune system, and thereby prevent rejection of foreign organs. This probably being the only useful purpose of cholesterol medications currently used for this purpose.

I've heard that people who regularly donate blood live longer on average than people who don't. I know I can't give blood unless my iron is high enough. I have to wonder if that's why we live longer. I've given 14 gallons so far so I've been donating blood for decades. At 77 and on a keto diet, I'm feeling pretty good except for peripheral neuropathy in my feet. What I wouldn't give to get over that. ::sigh::

Is weight-gain not in a way an adaptive response, in an effort to ensure survival in the midst of the stress of chronic inflammation? What about individuals who are experiencing weight loss/inability to gain weight; who are constantly tired, with mental problems, etc. Interesting to learn about 'Nutritional Immunity'; how iron could be purposely removed into storage... With chronic inflammation induced through gluten, the stomach lining can also be damaged, so that not enough stomach acid is produced to liberate nutrients (including iron) from food. Additionally, occult bleeding could be occurring within the digestive tract, with iron deficiency resulting also because of blood-loss (as is explained by Peter Osborne).

@@defeatdiabetes IMO far too much attention is being paid to rectify Obesity, which is but one of the down-stream symptoms (similar to increased Cholesterol production and higher BP, which both are also protective adaptations towards ensuring survival); this while 60% of those with normal weight are not metabolically healthy either (as is for example pointed out by Prof. Robert Lustig). Insulin and Inflammation are both important factors to keep in mind, but something not receiving enough attention, is Insufficiencies. When it comes to the inability to lose weight, it could for example simply be due to an insufficient Vit D level, with resulting 'Winter Syndrome'; as is explained by MD Judson Somerville in 'The Optimum Dose': The stressed-out body is purposefully holding on to fat; this as protective measure against possible future food scarcity.

Ended up breaking my right angle right tibia and right wrist and one fault all of them requiring surgery plates and screws to repair. So I've seen improvement with carnivore diet because the matrix to the bone is actually built up from protein calcium just lays on the outer side of it kind of like the skin on your body. Hey Alison, hemp seed oil is very high in omega 6 fatty acids, 76%, which means it is going to have highly oxidative and can cause oxidative stress to our cells and thus damage. So we would suggest to still stick to the more stable olive oil or coconut oil. Hemp seed oil has been found to be good for the skin as it contains vitamin E so perhaps this is how it could be beneficial. We hope this helps! 🙂
