UPDATE: I have been making the big green smoothie for several weeks. I use about a pound of greens (kale and spinach) 1 cup of frozen blueberries, 1 cup frozen mixed fruit, a banana, 1/3 cup chia or flax seeds, 2 cups water and 1 cup almond milk. It makes 2 quarts. I have 1 quart for breakfast and one for dinner. For lunch I eat a raw veggie salad with beans. Has been perfect for the summer months.

I was on beta blockers for over 20 years and recently started on a add on HPT pill added by my GP,after covid ,lung pains from time to time with bad scars on lungs(xrays) .Never symptoms with shortness of breath or coughing not even during covid. I found Dr Gs randomly and started right away that was in Last week in October 2022.So today is exactly 3 weeks into it. I'm completely off my beta blockers, normal hr not bradycardia anymore strong hr of 68 when rested and between 70/80 during daily activities. I stop the BP pills to see what's gonna happen as I do have domestic stress ➕ work related stress, but my blood pressure normal,so I'm keeping an eye 👁 on that. Most autoimmune symptoms also disappeared all in just this 3 weeks. NB:I always gym,do Tai chi and walk a lot ,relatively fit even through my health issues and stress at home and work. I lost 5kgs in so far, seems constant weight now. I'm quite petite 1.52m,now 50kg ,turning 55 in 2 days and look like a very young woman. Thanks all to Jesus whom is my Savior, and now founding Dr Gs smoothies. Blessings 🙌

Spinach is nutritious but not cruciferous. Mix it up by using a variety of greens 💚 not just one. Spinach has a milder flavor than arugula, kale, chard, etc so it's good for beginners. I have put asparagus, purple cabbage, bok choy, Romaine lettuce, spinach, arugula, kale, chard, radish leaves, dandelion leaves. No apple, pear or banana cuz I read they interfere with some benefit in the cruciferous veg. Dr. G is great! Can't argue with results!🥰

I did this at the beginning of January which lasted 3weeks however over the last week my symptoms have come back tingling, headaches and fatigue. In fact I was that tired and drained I ended up in bed for 2days until yesterday… I had the smoothie last night along with my turmeric tea (with a pinch of pepper to detox) and my probiotics then again today and I feel alive again!! Hyper-nourishing blended juice makes sense. But, I have questions: 1) Vitamix recommends filling up the container only up to 3/4 of the way. Does filling up all the way cause spilling of liquid or leaves? 2) How high do you add the water to? 3/4 of the way? Halfway? 3) Is the resulting beverage gritty? 4) The drink turns darker (becomes brownish), the liquefied bananas also turn darker as the hours go by. Isn't that oxidation? Still ok to drink oxidized fruits? 5) Doesn't your poop turn dark green? 6) What does it mean when the poop turns dark green after drinking the blended beverage? Thank you

I have had lupus along with two types of arthritis since 2001. Staying off nightshades have made a drastic improvement for me. Putting nightshades in my meals causes Sevier body pain within two days of taking them. Unlike most people my pressure goes down with foods such as kale, spirulina, moringa and some others. My body does not do well without protine at all. This is one of my main concerns with a plant based diet. Lupus manifests for people differently and one way it shows up for me is Hyper sensitivity to foods (especially sugar be it fruit, processed, honey, molasses ect.. ) dust, mold. With the sugar I get Uveitis and a skin rash. One thing I noticed is that having raw food only works very well for eliminating pain. (I live with pain daily and use a combination of pain killers, yoga and meditation daily, water therapy weekly among other things to manage it. So a smooth or raw food diet that would work for me would be wonderful. But where do I start?

I think we need to talk. I have several autoimmune diseases including Sjogren’s. I also had breast implant illness, mold toxicity, and now several types of Lyme infections and a live parasite from a tick, probably while gardening. The Babesia in my system is restricting my blood flow and I can’t heal a broken arm from 10 months ago. I have such low iron and have anemia, that I’m tired almost all the time and my skin is dry and pasty. I now take an iron supplement and these grass fed beef fed organ capsules that give me extra protein. I’m 68 and live alone finally (after housing my ex-husband and adult son for almost 3 years because they had mold), but I have a house to run and a big yard, which I need to sell. I love gardening, and want to grow more organic vegetables to make these smoothies. I’d like to know about the pressure you’re talking about; blood pressure? I’m also in pain every day as well, but I have meds because I can’t function without them. People frown on that and think I’m weak, but they have no idea what type of pain autoimmune disorders, mold, inflammation, (anything!!!) etc. feels in your body! Let me know what else you do to stay on top of things. I control mine with diet, but I’ve kind of forgotten to juice and don’t like making big meals because it hurts to stand at the sink and stove. IF you’d like to share, let me know, please. Blessings to you❣️

I wanted to know if Dr. Goldner or someone who understands please answer me. I have psoriasis and osteoarthritis and I think I have psoriasis osteoarthritis. I think these smoothies could help me, but I would not know how much I would have to drink daily and what other food I would have to eat during the day. It would be good to eat some fish for the protein and no meat ... I don't know. If I can't find kale, you can add spinach, although I don't know if it would be counterproductive because I think taking a lot of it would not be very good because they have purines and I think that too much is not good for the joints. I appreciate any answer or advice, many to all and take care of you

Chela Vee It’s great to consume it the same day, but a plant based doctor said that you can drink it from the fridge for up to a couple of days afterward, without losing a lot of its nutrition. I usually make it to last me 2 days, and then put it in as air tight a container as possible.

In my experience, green smoothies made in the Vitamix taste awful after one or a few hours due to oxidation. I suggest you make them in a vacuum blender and store them in a jar with almost no air or under vacuum.
