It was really an Al Mundy impression, Wagner's leading character from the hit "Cool Guy" TV 📺 show It Takes a Thief from the late 1960s. His full attire in this scene (minus the eye patch) would have worked perfectly on that show.

Number 2 is more about standard corporate evil, as opposed to taking the world by force.

@@Deadpool_64 To be fair, they used the Parsons joke in that one scene, and Hedy Lamarr's name was used multiples times as a running gag at her expense without getting her permission and was pretty stupid and disrespectful. Can you imagine a movie using Johnny Carson's name as a running gag throughout a movie without his permission? He would have sued them so badly they would have had to edit every scene with his name in it or he would have owned the movie. I don't think you realize that Hedy Lamarr wasn't just a great actress, she was one of the most respected and brilliant people of her time. She was an absolute genius who held patents for several inventions, one of which was rejected by the US military during WW2, but then later stolen by the Navy and used to encrypt radio communications. This invention(co-invention technically) led directly to the development of WiFi. Yes, the very WiFi you are using right now, is directly due to Hedy Lamarr's huge brain. So maybe take a pause the next time you want to basically call Hedy Lamarr an asshole......

Yes, Alan Parsons Project was a great prog rock band, but when I first saw this in the theater, I thought he was going to make a reference to Jack Parsons, noted rocket scientist who was also a Thelemite occultist, which would be in-line with Dr. Evil!!!
