This year marks 20 years since then-President George W. Bush enacted the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Dr. Deborah Birx served as the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, implementing PEPFAR programs around the world. She joins "CBS Mornings" to discuss where we stand in the fight against HIV/AIDS and what work stills needs to be done.

Dr. Deborah Birx mentioned communities including Tribes. Very often, we hear about Black, White, and Latino people or their communities. We don't hear much about Native people. I'm glad she did mention Native Tribes in this broadcast. HIV / AIDS or any disease affected all people. It's not just 1 group or 2 groups or 3 groups of people.
