As someone that has been weirdly fascinated by psychology and specifically the personality disorders I had struggled with the idea that ASPD people may be unsavable. Not that Jesus wasn't powerful enough or that the cross didn't cover them but that their disorder was a sure fire way to a permanent life stuck in sin. David's testimony shows how intense the forgiving power of Jesus is. The gospel is the truth. Thank you God for revealing your strength in this testimony.

Thank you David for not listening to all those people who told you otherwise about how they thought you were wasting time on Nabeel....you loved your friend and trusted your Lord. This gives me hope, I was raised by a malignant narcissist to be married to one, both were mentally emotionally, and physically abusive. I got out of the marriage finally, after 34 years because I started studying the disorder and believed there was no hope. I became a Christian after we married. All the information I learned was that it is the most difficult behavioral disorder to treat because the person can't even be honest enough with himself to acknowledge any truth about himself. This makes me feel hope. Truly all things are possible with God, I will keep praying.

He lies to me constantly, closet drank for years, sneaks porn and now has a girlfriend. Is was bad enough w/ the cheating when he was lying, or pretending like he was giving us another chance and would stop seeing her. Now he's out w/ her tonight, openly since I found out again over a month ago. It's been worse since I waded through the lies and outed him. Now he doesn't want to move out and just sees her. Third time hearing David's testimony and I still get chills. I feel so blessed to have watched Davids social media for many years and even spoke with him on a few occasions on his youtube channel. I know him as a Christian but have studied him as he has put forth an epic effort preaching to Muslims with heavy-handed facts that cannot be disputed. He claims he has no feelings but I can assure you he does, he is trying to save the most difficult race of people anyone could possibly imagine. I was very moved and touched by this testimony. Though I knew of Dr. David Woods history, knew of small bits of his testimony, I had never heard it all in one cohesive presentation. Bless you Dr. Wood, bless your wife and your precious children, in the name of our savior Yeshua.

I hadn't realised that David was Nabeel's roommate until this clip. I read Nabeel's story only a few months ago and how his roomie had brought him to Christ. I had been watching Nabeel's Q&A's with Ravi and had been VERY impressed with his sharp mind and wonderful heart. To see all these men's lives intertwined, reinforces how great of God is, using them (and hopefully us) to keep reaching the world! Let's raise each other up to keep fighting the good fight!!

He's more relaxed in his home studio than on a stage in Houston. Sometimes he seems short of breath. Nervous? I just found Mr Wood today, March 27, 2018. I have watched him non-stop since discovering him this afternoon. He reminds me of Bill Whittle, facts mixed with healthy sarcasm. I'm hooked! Be blessed Mr Wood, as we pray for you & your family's protection

Though, i am hearing this message for this first time...my heart is touched by your testimony and Nabeel's life.. Love is the key and grace is the anthem. Let us keep alive the testimony of Jesus through love.

This was painful to watch. He was so uncomfortable in this situation. His video telling his testimony is far greater than putting him on the spot like this before a live audience. This was tough. David, I hope you never did this again. I wrote this after watching the first section of this video but WOW. Once he got through that uncomfortable part, reiterating his story, what a powerful story. David, we really love and support you and your whole ministry and dear family. Sweetie, God bless and protect you always.

Wow. I've read several books on sociopaths and never read anywhere that it was possible for a sociopath to be healed. I'm stunned by this testimony. I wonder how many other mental health problems could be healed with some intense bible study. If only this was offered to all prisoners, they would probably do it if you told them they would get their sentences shortened if they got a good grade at the end of it.

@@salgar1234 This makes sense. Sometimes God heals us and sometimes He doesn't. It doesn't change the fact that we all are able to accept His gift of salvation. I just hate it when people think that becoming saved and having a relationship with God is a bad thing for those with mental illness.

I wasn't ready for David's testimony even when he said he doesn't really enjoy telling it. It's only just yesterday I learned he was Dr. Qureshi's friend who helped turn him towards Jesus. This was a Rollercoaster of a testimony. Praise the Lord for the way he transforms us when we believe in him

he will,if the person understands his problem and ask jesus to help him jesus will help him to calm down and see his sin and all this anger and this disorder can go away with a little help by ourselfs and a little belief but its not easy if he dont listen.i had disorders and i still have in a way,but i regret and trying to repent,jesus i believe helped alot ,he took away the impossible and the rest its up to me to control them,i took meds also and i recognize my problems,cause my dad wasnt so good with me,he blasphimed to me too much,everyday he was fighting for any reason with my mome a very nice person ,the opposite of him,my mom couldnt divorce him,she tried to stop him treating me like that but he was not changing,he was telling us ok for the moment but after the other day he was doing the same.i was angry for my mother also cause i wanted better to divorce him but now that im a grown up man i can see why she couldnt divorce.sometimes my friend i was wishing him to die as a kid but jesus helped me to forgive him,this was a great help for my anger.cause i know now that my dad was suffering by a very very rare autoimmune disease that we didnt even know back then about it and this disease caused him to have all this anger and what he did to us most of it was from that reason,this disease cause him also psychological disorders,but deep down i was seeing him that he loved us and regret sometimes but i know that his dad was also very bad treated to him in young age as a kid and they where poor working people so he didnt had the attention of his father ,his love.so this goes on and on my friend in some cases,the thing is that we must forgive and we are doing good to ourselfs also and god will see that and he will help in ways we cant even realize.we also must change ourselfs in those violent circumstances,try to be truthfull and try to not hate him cause he can fell that,i know its not easy but this helps alot and he eventually stop,you know love have great power.i hope and pray for you my friend but be vigilant and strong dont let anything to cause you deep harm,be clever and think deep but not overthink...bye my friend wishing you the best and yes jesus can soft every heart and disease,have faith...

Thank you for posting this. Many serial killers get started the same way, with dissociating themselves from empathy and emotion regarding others, with animal cruelty and assaults often being the result, then escalating from there. I'm so glad that God had other plans. David has seen the best and worst of humanity, as well as been both. I cannot begin to articulate how grateful I am that he ended up on the side of truth and righteousness, for his sake and ours. God is using him mightily for the Kingdom. I am in awe of this testimony and refer believers and non-believers alike to this astonishing chain of conversion, from Randy to David to Nabeel. God is just amazing.

I always wondered: Why is there order at all? Why do we see purpose at all? Why does Purpose exist as it implies future, a future goal; Why? Why Life and why do some things want to keep on going - to be alive? And like Einstein, why is the universe intelligible? We take all this for granted. A cosmic mind (God) has great explanatory power for answering these questions; what we call accident does not.

I'm so sorry I missed this and Nabeel's services. I live pretty close to this church! I only found out about Nabeel and David until after Nabeel's unfortunate death may be rest in peace.

David is describing what it was like to have a low level functioning schizoid personality with little or no evidence of a capacity for emotional identification/empathy along with a massive underlying grandiosity with an associated thought disorder related to notions of volitional omnipotence-hence the diagnosis of sociopath/anti social personality disorder. In short he was quite a sick individual and I mean sick in the sense of twisted as well as in the ordinary sense of the term. I've worked for thirty years within the NHS secondary care mental health service in the U.K and have worked with hundreds of people with similar histories to David's, assisting them to return to primary care. I have to say I've never come across any that were able to fundamentally change. Yes they were able to dampen down their thought disorder and psychotic symptoms through psychotropic medication and social support but not to actually be transformed. Saying this I do believe that it's possible for people to be transformed through divine intervention. I'm thinking of people who have actually died and had near death experiences where they go into the light and for the first time in their conscious lives they experience what it's like to be loved absolutely unconditionally, for no other reason than for their very existence as unique human beings. They usually have a life review and are able to experience everything that they evoked in others they came in contact with. When they were resuscitated and eventually returned to their everyday life they were transformed, instead of being concerned with things like ambition, achievement, status,money etc.that they were concerned with, they wanted to help others, and primarily valued their personal relations with others . This was so to the extent that their family members could no longer recognise them and sometimes wives, spouses and children became quite concerned about the change they couldn't understand . These near death experiencers had been transformed by the light. I believe that light was the same light that Saul encountered on the road to Damascus and I suspect that even though David didn't experience the light consciously it was there working to transform him into a more wholesome human being through the teachings of Christianity. The philosopher William James also wrote about similar transformations in his book 'Varieties of Religious Experience'. Perhaps David's grandiosity was transformed by coming into closer relationship with the felt sense of an all loving omnipotent God who conferred unconditional love, acceptance and valuation on David. The result of this relationship being a reorganisation of his underlying orientation to life included his implicit view of himself in relation to others. Hence the end to his distorted thoughts about notions of volitional omnipotence like controlling the weather as well as his notions of being a superior person who existed absolutely above the moral demands and obligations of other mortals. I know that he's now the father of four truly loved children and has a a lovely wife and has a very caring family life. Truly he had a miraculous transformation which I can't honestly say I fully understand, although I do believe in the reality of his transformation. I don't know why some people are chosen to undergo these transformations in this life and others not. Perhaps when we pass over we are similarly transformed by an all loving and merciful God experienced in many different ways according to our background and culture. I hope and have faith that this is the case because the people I worked with really had no chance for real happiness in their lives, may God bless them in this life and the next.

This guy is clearly a really smart person, who has no idea of how to write with paragraphs and organize his thoughts into a directed thematic point. It is SO HARD to read this kind of run-on jabber, not knowing if he's ever going to finish meaningfully. Please! Organize, and stop to breathe once in a while.

@@rubynibs No, the NDE light has seemingly nothing to do with Christ. Christ produces the righteousness; "The Light" simply produces varying degrees of comfort. People experience The Light, for example, and still lie and fornicate and etc etc. They also do not engage in the Great Commission, nor do they risk their lives actively as those lead by the Spirit do for the sake of the gospel and the improvement of the world around them.

Stuart Schneiderman you are mixing carnality with spirituality. Two complete different entities. We are souls in our flesh. Therefore, when God transforms our spirit, we are free indeed!
