My husband was only 26 years old and I was 22. We converted to Christianity when we found out he had cancer, he only lived 1 year as a Christian, his conversion was so inspiring because he was the type of very smart guy, engineer that had science very ingrained in his brain. He met Jesus and so do I; we prayed so much but at the end God called him home. Leaving me with a 4 months old baby. Experiencing suffering as a Christian is way different than enduring it without God. He passed praising the Lord just hours losing conscience. I’m still. Christian and I experienced how God takes care of the widow and the orphan… in my worst there was the Lord and still he is. If it weren’t for what we went through we would have not been believers of Jesus and eternal life. This is a temporary world… Be faithful and surrender fully to God if you are going through suffering…

I kind of wonder why I have lived so long. I found Jesus when I was 3 years old and I led about 10 people to Jesus over the years. Usually when I was in prison, the psyche ward or a hospital or detox. I have struggled with addiction and pain my whole life and I feel like such a traitor to my god but I have struggled with substances for so many years. I dont know why I am writing this I guess I need to let it out. I wish I was a better christian I love Jesus so much but I seem to have so little control on those substances. I am fifty now and off opiates for about 5 days and I have wasted my life. So many overdoses and problems and pain. why am I just a bad sinner or do I have brain damage. I wish I was a better christian. Peace from canada I kind of wish I was not alive as many other better people have died who are better then me. I guess I am ashamed at my wasted years. Thankfully some people who I witnessed to have probably gone to heaven and they were in places no normal christian would ever be, like how I saved my friend and they died about 4 days later. Peace from canada, I am happy to have met you.

I know Jesus during my last moment, seeing God's miracle before I was a believer just by hearing three Good news before I enter into for my surgery. Even the stent the Doctor put in to replace the bile-duct is gone. The uneventful recovery takes place. I told God I will go to Church but I didn't and was thinking of waiting but I was led to Rock Auditorium thinking it was a concert and ended up knowing it was a Church, still I told God I can't, wait till I'm 60 and this time Pastor Prince walked to my side and tell me now God is coming face to face with me and hold you by your hand and ask me this three word before Pastor say the three word, I heard His voice Are you ready? Immediately I heard my heart cry out that I'm ready, since that day life had never been the same. Thank you Father God for loving me and Praise the Lord Jesus Amen

I love the truth speaking through David. Is it true knowing Jesus' He's our Savior, our Healer, our Counsellor, our Redeemer, our King of King, our Lord Lord and He led us back to Father God. Praise the Lord Jesus! Amen

I would have thought that this comment section would be heavily loaded with atheists since this is one of their favorite accusations against God. Where are they? Do they not want this important question explained to them? I'm not a philosopher, but I had come to many of the conclusions that David shared. When I study Job or Paul's suffering, but especially the suffering of the Christ, It helps me confront what a baby I can be when I -expect- demand a quick fix in my own life. Christ's Passion assures me that this Living God will never exact anything from me - from any of us - that He hasn't already exacted from Himself. He experienced the full range of human suffering for us, and thought it well worth the price. If my redemption was worth it to Christ, He's elevated me far above my opinion of myself. Thank you sweet Jesus, lover of my soul.

Betsy, I am not an atheist, but I am a former Christian. I believe that we can find meaning in suffering. Pain and suffering are a part of life, whether we like it or not, whether we believe in God or not. I am not yelling at you; I am just telling you my own view. I actually enjoy videos like these, even though - like I said - I am a former diehard Christian.

@@Hebelinahebel1 David is not responsible for the decisions of others who may be associated with him (although I think if you're thinking close friends I don' t think that guy was in there). There is a choice of paths for all of us, that of Esau (the flesh) or that of Jacob. Think of Jesus' disciples. They saw some of the most amazing miracles ever done, heard much good teaching, saw Jesus' gracious and loving behaviour, yet Judas decided to betray Jesus, probably because he wanted a warlord Messiah, he was too arrogant to be patient until his understanding had grown. Now at the 2nd coming there will be a big conflict with the Antichrist, quickly decided, as Jesus is the Word. If Jesus can have some fails, because he allows for freedom of choice, would you not expect us also to not always persuade folks? I wouldn't want to be that Edward chap for all the oil in Arabia.
