    Superb advice from perhaps the best mens' doubles player of all time. There are several technical ideas here that I've never seen before, presented clearly from a true expert. Thank you Tony! I'd love to hear your thoughts about hitting cross-court from round-the-head -- both for the smash and front-court attack. You have incredible power and angles in your smash from that position, even when the shuttle is a long way to your left.

    Thank you for this video! could you tell us about partners helping each other in doubles defence? like straight direction and cross-court direction defence. I know it in general but it would be great to get some details from you.

  • @BadmintonOvertime

    @BadmintonOvertime

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Alexander, If your partner is in trouble, then you can to help out a bit by approaching his/her area to cover a bit more of defense. Vice versa. If you have stronger defense than your partner, then in general, you can do more straight direction lifting and cover the middle part of the court if your opponents hit to the middle. If you and your partner are equal level, then you can lift cross court and move up to the front while your partner moves to the back and get ready to counter attack. I hope this is helpful.

    I can see that only wrist is rotating to have a quick smash swing. Can you go for details like when start to have low jump, the grip position ( I saw it is quite at the top), swing prepare position (upper part of body)...?
