Nice to see the D9 with its full ability like it was designed. It can be hard to find a server where it's not nerfed with engine limitations, or you have to fly 200km to get into the fight. Although a bit casual, Wolfpack is a lot of fun (when flying red) if you don't have 2hrs to fly.

Great video! I hope to see more like this gem in the future.

I knew a Nowotny way back playing IL2 Birds of Prey on console. That was the gateway that got me into combat flight sims.

Awesome fights! Excellent team work as usual. I usually fly 4YA, but when I want to fly the Dora I do it on Wolfpack. I hope ED shows the Axis birds some love this year. The textures look dated at this point. Moreover, the Dora is unfortunately kinda bug infested imo. I always enjoy your videos.

Thanks for kind words! I agree, the Dora needs some reworked textures, but at least we have the new engine sounds. She’s still not easy to handle with its complex engine behavior.

And these spits with the cockpit open at 6k? Doesn't ED see these fucking bugs?

Technically seen the cockpit isn’t pressurized anyways and the pilot is wearing his oxygen mask. Nevertheless there are about -20 degrees Celsius up there. Not something I would do

I love the new engine sound . Is so enjoyable to fly it now . Hopefully we get a cockpit renew soon .

I know these are the JG7 liveries but the Dora with SRFNoodle's liveries look so much better than stock. For sure needs a cockpit refresh!

@kzrlgo i agreed. I actually fly it with SRF Noodle skin pack. He also said he would do some work on the cockpit on the future

thank you very much for this very captivating video. I hope there will be others. Watching the dogfights, I feel like you're using your weapons way too early: you should try to get a little closer to the enemy plane

I tend to open up fire a bit earlier than regular, with the tracerless. That gives me more time to hit actually and also some room to lead if he breaks. Nevertheless the Dora has loads of ammunition;)

@@IJG7Official thank you, I understand your attack method better. you only use MG 131 machine guns? or the wing root cannons? I don't know if the noise emitted is the same for all the Dora's onboard weapons?

@@IJG7Official so we hear a single noise for both MGs and cannons. The on-board weapons therefore do not have a specific noise for each of them.

@IJG7Official just not true to real life. I knew a great many veteran pilots from WW2 and from both Germany and the US. You didn't have that option.

@IJG7Official nope, just slightly disappointed in them not being used for what they were beneficial for. Especially since the incendiary rounds did it. Most of the real serious damage came mostly from incendiary or HE rounds, especially the HE rounds that the Germans used. Unless your just trying to go for an AP pen on the pilot's Armor Plate. If DCS modeled the rounds correctly, then your only handicapping yourself.

Im not handicapping myself. I get way more rounds into the target since he doesn’t notice being shot that quickly. It’s a matter of aim, and if trained you can do good effect even with tracerless. That is also being proved in Part 2.
