You have to think long-term and not short-term, your children will live in a world where the carbon level in the atmosphere will be far too high, summers will be incendiary and most animals/insects will be decimated. Everything is linked, without insects, agricultural capacities decrease drastically, and with the loss of most animal species, the global food chain is completely deregulated. But obviously, most of Trump's supporters lack education and judgment and want the short term, over and over again. Everything has a price, and it is selfish to want to improve only the economic aspect of the US at the expense of the rest of the planet and living species (see openings of new coal plants instead of old protected natural areas)

Everything is linked, without insects, agricultural capacities decrease drastically, and with the loss of most animal species, the global food chain is completely deregulated. But obviously, most of Trump's supporters lack education and judgment and want the short term, over and over again. Everything has a price, and it is selfish to want to improve only the economic aspect of the US at the expense of the rest of the planet and living species (see openings of new coal plants instead of old protected natural areas)

Even still, no president has had to endure the onslaught from the leftist media, Democrat party, and deep state that he has. We know the Obama administration spied on him illegally, we know the FBI and CIA actively tried to oust him, we know the whole Russia narrative was 100% false, we know he's the only president who has ever stood up to China and their theft of intellectual property and currency manipulation, tried to reverse our trade deals with the communist country that has most US politicians in their back pocket, and oh yeah, the same nation that lied to the WHO about the coronavirus and because of their dishonesty, thousands have died and thousands more WILL DIE. Let's not forget the Democrats and media vilified him for suggesting the hydroxychloriquine/azithromycin/zinc cocktail was an effective way to treat the coronavirus, which it is, and because of their hatred for Trump, thousands needlessly died. And how the hell are you going to blame Trump for 150,000 dead when he let the states decide on how to handle the coronavirus? Any blame for Cuomo and his nursing home policy that killed thousands of seniors or are you going to blame Trump for that too? I'm not a Republican whatsoever, but I'm an Independent who sees how fucking evil the left is. Open your eyes and you can see it too.

Watch any interview with Trump in the last 40 years and he'll be saying the same thing. By far one of the most (if not THE most) consistent president we've ever had in this country.

slandshark Donald Trump has not offered any leadership skills. There should have been a national strategy developed from the federal government to the states on dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic. Either we have adequate quarantine shut down social distancing or deaths. There also should have been policy to coordinate efforts to address this issue with the top health officials business and pharmaceutical companies along with federal government officials. With Trump’s pathetic leadership there will be massive bankruptcies deaths and unemployment. There has been no effort to get proper testing personal protection equipment and education to help the citizens. Trump’s leaving states to develop mixed approaches with this matter is confusing.

In a strange way this is sad to see. He comes across like a determined businessman, with a real passion for growing his city (New York) and engaging others in progress, a very insightful perspective on means-testing, and a refined sense of how rent control does, and doesn't work. He also had a clue into what the future of the country could look like, and a reasonable approach to how the super rich could, or maybe should, pay their fair share. Today, he's the most polarizing person in the world, which in retrospect is a damn tragedy, no matter how you slice it.

He was sharp! I admire how fast he thought and how much he could argue to defend his stances.

Jacob Watkins I was pro abortion as well at one time But I don't agree now Because they ripe babies out of mum when they are fully formed we never knew this. He keeps repeating "I'm not running for office," but give it 28 more years. He never changes, much of what he says is a repeat of what he says now. People can try to take him down but he stands firm each time. He's right, the very rich shouldn't be in apartments that could be used by the poor or with less income. Never liked Donihue either Trump speaks the truth about wealthy people in rent control. They kept those apts for generations. He did say that true rent control should help the poor, using a means test, but not to be kept forever. Makes sense in my opinion. Donohue is a hypocrite, a liar, and pandering to a certain class of people.
